Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Barack Obama is drawing gasps from pro-life advocates today over comments he made during a campaign stop in Pennsylvania over the weekend. The leading Democratic presidential candidate appeared to back a potential decision by his daughters to seek an abortion saying he wouldn't "punish" them with a baby.
Obama's remarks are likely to add another reason to the list pro-life advocates are developing as to why he won't get their vote this November.

“What he said was he wouldnt deny information “
Say what? Didn’t sound like he said that at all.
Are you covering for this swine also?
As if pro-life advocates needed any more reasons to oppose Obama.
He takes the Culture of Death to a new level. As someone once said, "You've got to serve somebody". And I have a hard time believing that Obama serves God.
Claiming he wouldn't 'punish' them with a baby.
How comforting for his daughters to know they were 'punishment' for their mother and father.
I guess he may be talking about the morning after pill? I can’t believe this guy came out and said this. Regardless of what you think as a politician this is down right naive and shows again that this guy is dangerous. He is growing daily to look like a lightweight.
McCain should be able to debate him into a corner base on Obama’s liberal views and voting record.
Because McCain has a much higher pro-life voting rating than Obama.
At least McCain seems aware that adoption is a choice for an unmarried, pregnant teenager. However, I have to say that I would not, if at all possible, let a decision about an infant’s life be made by a young girl who has (in almost every case) already demonstrated poor judgment.
My response would be something like, “My husband and I would decide, with some input from our daughter, whether we would place the child for adoption or bring it up in our family.”
What, his voting to jail doctors who try to help abortion survivors wasn’t bad enough for them? This is nothing compared to that. Obama is one of the most despicable candidates the democrats have run in my memory.
“I have been saying it all along, this guy is WORSE than hillary. To the people who want to sit out an not vote for McCain, hopefully enough info like this on this guy persuades them to rethink their positions.
obama is a vile and despicable being.”
You underestimate the loathing that many on FR have for McCain. It makes the hatred the dems have Bush seem innocent.
If we can’t unite to fight these lying ba*tards the dems are putting up this year, then forget it.
I’m waiting for Rush and Ann C and others to put their ignorance aside and support the repub nominee.
But before I finish this post, I’m sure there will have been a half dozen McCain haters posting you.
(My apologies to those who probably said something to this effect on one of these threads previously....)
Obama should thank God that his grandmother decided it was okay to punish his mother with a male child when her Kenyan deadbeat husband abandoned her back in the 1960s. And he should be thankful that his mother did not consider it a punishment so that she decided to put him in a private school (not unionized NEA-run schools), put him in a religious school (not a separation of church-state school), helped him go to two private elite universities (not the state run public universities that poor people have to go to).
Obama should be incredibly thankful that his (typical white person) mother and grandmother did not practice the liberalism that he preaches. Or he would be an undereducated child or just another aborted fetus.
Maybe his grandmother would like to admit that had her daughter been able to she would have aborted Barack back when her Kenyan sperm donor bailed on her?
Is this true?
Calls the Devil “dad,” no doubt.
Well, it’s not like PA has a viable GOP anyway, but as bad as Obama is Hillary is worse.
Bob Dylan had a song about “Gotta Serve Somebody”
Lyrics
You may be an ambassador to England or France,
You may like to gamble, you might like to dance,
You may be the heavyweight champion of the world,
You may be a socialite with a long string of pearls
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.
You might be a rock ‘n’ roll addict prancing on the stage,
You might have drugs at your command, women in a cage,
You may be a business man or some high degree thief,
They may call you Doctor or they may call you Chief
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.
You may be a state trooper, you might be a young Turk,
You may be the head of some big TV network,
You may be rich or poor, you may be blind or lame,
You may be living in another country under another name
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.
You may be a construction worker working on a home,
You may be living in a mansion or you might live in a dome,
You might own guns and you might even own tanks,
You might be somebody’s landlord, you might even own banks
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.
You may be a preacher with your spiritual pride,
You may be a city councilman taking bribes on the side,
You may be workin’ in a barbershop, you may know how to cut hair,
You may be somebody’s mistress, may be somebody’s heir
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.
Might like to wear cotton, might like to wear silk,
Might like to drink whiskey, might like to drink milk,
You might like to eat caviar, you might like to eat bread,
You may be sleeping on the floor, sleeping in a king-sized bed
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.
You may call me Terry, you may call me Timmy,
You may call me Bobby, you may call me Zimmy,
You may call me R.J., you may call me Ray,
You may call me anything but no matter what you say
You’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody.
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.
You’re wasting your time trying to get these people to wake up...
Much better to punish the innocent baby with the death penalty. (need I have a sarcasm tag?) I actually have heard various "Christian" people who use the same reasoning.
Don’t punish all of us with 4 years of Barry doing Carter with a tan.
OBAMA proabortion - PING.
So, having a baby because you didn’t practice birth control is a punishment, but getting aids from sodomy or IV drug use is not a punishment from God? I get it now.
What a sick state of affairs in our country. He has admitted to taking cocaine. If an upstanding high schooler with straight A’s had only one bad thing on his/her record and that was trying cocaine, he or she would not be allowed to be an Airman Basic in the AF. (and shouldn’t be accepted into the military IMO).
If it’s the President of the United States however, we say “don’t worry, we expect much less from you. We hold you to a much lower standard”. President Bush wouldn’t even answer the question. What is so difficult about emphatically answering “NO” when asked, if you haven’t used drugs.
Next, it will become a qualification. It has gone from “I’m not answering that question” (showing at-least some level of shame) to not even being embarrassed. Next, it will be used as a qualification as though the candidate can really empathize with all the druggies out there and what they go through.

How old is his daughter, 12? I think its fair to say being pregnant would be a punishment.
