So does the fact that this vanity remains in Breaking News mean FR officially endorses McCain?

No wonder you want McCain... he's against the First Amendment too. It's called Freedom of Speech. You ought to read up on it.

But I will never vote for him... Ever!

I know exactly what you mean.
They remind me of those who go into the threads about reality TV shows and let everyone know they don’t watch them and don’t like them. Kinda pointless.
I worked with a guy like them who wouldn’t vote for McCain because he isn’t Reagan enough. He would rather elect a Democrat so that they’ll screw up and help a true conservative get elected.
After I reminded him that Reagan gave amnesty and raised taxes and pointed out that those who wish the country damaged for personal or political gain are akin to traitors, he thought about it and is not a McCain supporter.
I’m not a big fan either, but by gosh he is the GOP nominee, like it or not and I’d rather have a 75% conservative there than a 5% one. I battled with it and whined for a while, but I came to terms with it just like the vast majority of the bashers here will too in time.

I do not hate McCain, you Cinnamon Girl or any other supporter of your candidate. It is your right to support and vote for your choice.
Perhaps you would be happier among like minded people at other Republican sites that support your candidate. FreeRepublic.com is a conservative site and, as such, does not support liberals.
Cheers

YOU ARE DIMINISHING FR with your hostile posts...No! McCain has dissed conservatives and the Republican party. By doing so, he has dissed FReeRepublic and many, if not most, of our members hold him in contempt.
But, thank you for your vanity.

I appreciate your post. I absolutely hate where we conservatives find ourselves in this election. Yes, McCain PROBABLY is better than either of the other two potential candidates, but there is really no way to know what he will morph into should he become president. I say that as a former Arizonan who once both supported and voted for McCain only to have him say, do and vote for all of the things that so many have vilified him for. He has earned the animosity so many here and elsewhere have expressed.
Trust once lost is almost impossible to regain and that is the problem with McCain. Reminds me of a quote from Jackie Brown:
Ordell Robbie: "You can't trust Melanie but you can trust Melanie to be Melanie."
Change "Melanie" to "McCain" and that's the dilemma we conservatives have to vote for or not.
