I sure hope the MSM does a better job of “vetting” these phonies this time around!

Thanks for the ping. This is an excellent article. It does seem that the WSII propaganda is getting less media coverage than they expected.

I wonder how many of these “Winter Soldier” scumbags will be exposed as frauds. I’d guess 100% would be pretty close.

Little chance of that - too much like real work.

The best case would be for the old media to simply cover the IVAW's theatrics in a perfunctory way and then move on to something else. In April 1971, the "Big Three" networks ran fawning coverage of the VVAW's lies and exaggerations during an entire week of Washington protests, with John Kerry's Kennedy-aping Senate appearance as Exhibit A. There's no way they could peddle the same crap to the public today without taking a huge credibility hit.

Depends on what you mean by "frauds." Most of those who spoke at the event were undoubtedly in the military, in one capacity or another. Some of the unpleasant events they recounted may well have happened more or less as described. The real question is whether any of the radical activists (and let's not kid ourselves; that's what they are) who claim to have witnessed or participated in war crimes are willing to back up their claims with evidence and sworn testimony, so that they can be properly investigated. So far, the overwhelming evidence is: no, they aren't.

I haven’t seen any mention of the WSI on the news - maybe today’s journalists really are checking?
Time will tell. I still expect to see them use terms like “It was reported that ...” to cover their butts.
