Unilateral measures taken by Israel main obstacle for peace, King Abdullah tells Rice during Amman meeting; stresses importance of increasing America's role in process

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice headed to Amman from Jerusalem on Sunday to meet with Jordanian King Abdullah.
The king warned that failure to achieve progress toward (Israeli-Palestinian) peace would ''threaten the region's future'', according to a statement from his palace.
During his meeting with Rice Abdullah accused Israel of taking unilateral measures, particularly regarding the expansion of the West Bank settlements. According to the king, these measures are the main obstacles to regional peace.
Jordan's official news agency, Petra, reported that King Abdullah stressed the importance of increasing America's role in the peace process, including the transfer of economic aid to the Palestinians.
Rice arrived in Jordan following a meeting with Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak, during which she was presented with a list of planned gestures to the Palestinians, including the establishment of a new Palestinian city near Ramallah, which would be financed by a Jordanian businessman.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in Jerusalem on Sunday, the US secretary of state said, "The Israelis and the Palestinians have a joint responsibility to create an atmosphere and a reality in which the Palestinians are committed to Israel's security and Israel is committed to the Palestinians' quality of life."
Can we question the Kingdom's right to exist?
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
“The king warned that failure to achieve progress toward (Israeli-Palestinian) peace would ‘’threaten the region’s future’’, according to a statement from his palace.”
The only threat to the region’s future is the threat from the region’s past, Mohammedanism.
Given that the "Palestinians" have already demonstrated total antipathy to Israel's existence, what's the point in trying to buy them off?
Maybe Abdullah could help the US, Israel, Australians, Venusians, Martians (or whoever might do it) to wipe out Hamas so we can get to some ACTUAL civilization in the palestinians areas. Oh, and maybe Jordan might want to consider giving up a big chunk of their northeastern territories to segregate the 3M ‘palestinians’ they already have in Jordan and just call it “Palestine” so you can rid yourself AND the Israelis of these unwanted nomads.
Jordans problem is the same as Israels - nobody wants the palestinians and since they are made up of a dogs breakfast of various arab nationalities nobody wants to have them showing up at the doorstep claming part of your country as their ‘homeland’ suddenly and refusing to leave. The rest of the Arab world wants Israel to deal with the millions of ‘palestinians’ so they won’t have to house them, feed them or admit that they stole land from them in the past. The Jews make a great diversion for that.
The British just ripped away everything east of the Jordan river to give as a "consolation gift" to the Hashemite tribe, after giving away their patrimony to the robber clan of Saud.
Too many Arabs to chase out from all that land. Israeli government doesn’t even have the resolve to chase out the Israeli Arabs.
Help Palestinians overthrow the Hashemi. Chase the Palestinian Arabs into Jordan & make them split it with the Hashemi. When the new state attacks Israel, destroy them & make what’s left of it a client state.

Abdullah and the Muslim world does not have long to wait.
“How much of Abdullah’s “kingdom” is illegal Hashemite settlement in the Palestinian state?”
All of it, because Jordan originally WAS the “Palestinian state”.
“Can we question the Kingdom’s right to exist?”
Must you ask?
“Speaking at a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in Jerusalem on Sunday, the US secretary of state said, ‘The Israelis and the Palestinians have a joint responsibility to create an atmosphere and a reality in which the Palestinians are committed to Israel’s security and Israel is committed to the Palestinians’ quality of life.’”
I’ll settle for Israel being committed to its own security, and “Palestinians” being committed to their own quality of life.
