Young Americans have a reverence for national institutions, traditions and family values, a U.S. survey indicates.
A survey of so-called "millennials" -- those between 21 and 29 -- revealed the group overwhelmingly said they support monogamy, marriage, the U.S. Constitution and the military, The Washington Times reported Sunday.
"We were completely surprised. There has been a faulty portrayal of millennials by the media -- television, films, news, blogs, everything. These people are not the self-entitled, coddled slackers they're made out to be. Misnomers and myths about them are all over the place," said Ann Mack, who directed the survey and is the official "director of trend-spotting" at J. Walter Thompson, the nation's largest advertising agency.
In addition to indicating 94 percent of millennials respect monogamy and parenthood and 84 percent revere marriage, the survey found 88 percent said they respect the U.S. Constitution, 84 percent respect the military and more than three-quarters believe in the "American dream."
The survey of 1,250 adults was conducted online throughout January. No margin of error was reported.
Lefties have fewer children.
So maybe when the old lefties die out, and the world is run by those who are now young, it will be a better place.
Rush babies? :)
No. Millenials on the web are the ones putting up the web chatter on him. But when they see the price tag for what he wants them to pay, they won’t vote for him en masse, if they vote at all.
Right......
All the Republican candidates said they revered the U.S. Constitution (when asked if they agreed with Ron Paul about the Ninth and Tenth Amendments) and 45 seconds later they all (except Ron Paul) were agreeing that the Federal Nanny needs to control Americans’ obesity, blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.

Hello...with the leftist tilt of the major media outlets, what else would you expect? It’s in their best interest to support this image of the millenials. They can offer up more socialist ‘solutions’ as long as that image is broadly accepted as the truth.
They are the survivors of Roe v Wade. Many of them survived precisely because their parents rejected Roe v Wade. It’s verifiable that the slackers, liberals, and pinkos have killed enough of their own children to produce a political effect. Someone calculated that Al Gore would have won by several million votes—an overwhelming victory in the popular vote and the Electoral College—if those voters had not been aborted.

Well, thats the plan anyway.
Young Americans revere serial marriages?
My generation may have heard of the Constitution but do most of us really understand it? I doubt that. It would be a good skit for Jay Leno to ask people questions about the Constitution demonstrating their ignorance.
And, doggone it, they want all that to change.
I can vouch for this, albeit anecdotally. I have two sons in their twenties, and this describes them and their friends.
Oh yeah. Rush has been married, hmmm, how many times? Quite the role model on this one!
As if they even know what the Constitution is! The trouble with this is that it's all abstract, but when you dig into the details, they think they're supporting the Constitution when they're voting to destroy it.
It's not like they are suddenly getting educated after high school.

Anyone who has hired millenials knows that these things are true generalizations in comparison with previous entry-level workers. Whatever they answer on surveys doesn't change the facts.
Obviously, these are generalizations, but anyone who is fooled into thinking this is all glowing news is just getting set up to miss what's really going on.
Reagan Babies!
Exactly right...you hit one of the things I was getting at in #18, but you were more clear and concise. :-)
