While McCain wasn’t my favorite Republican candidate, he sure looks good in comparison to Hillary or Obama.

"...signed to highlight contradictions in McCain's rhetoric on this issue. The Republican National Committee fired back with a nine-page fact sheet..."

Which no one read, and was great for wrapping garbage.

Remember last week when the ratmedia tried to make a major “gaffe” out of McCain's comments on Iraq? The ONLY people who even heard of it or cared were registered democrat ratmedia scumbags trying to equate that incident with the crap the others had to own up to It was a sign of how desperate the ratmedia is now that they realize what the election will be like.

If democrats want to effectively attack him, all they have to do is start hauling out his quotes and voting record.

They have enough material to drop a bomb on him once a day until election day. And thats the material that will annoy republicans about voting for him (and rightly so, he would be more damaging in the long run. McCain would be the slow buildup to tyranny. Everyone would notice the sudden shift of the lefties.)

McCain will defeat himself, pushing the base further away with his liberal stances, loony speeches and a limp wristed moderate (i.e. liberal) veep choice.

I don’t think so. McCain is not flashy, but he is determined. I think he will run a solid campaign, and has a good chance to win.

“While McCain wasn’t my favorite Republican candidate, he sure looks good in comparison to Hillary or Obama.”

You’ve said it all, and it bears repeating.

Just waiting for the “I’ll vote for Hillary or go third party!” voices to come chiming in!

- John

The prediction markets at Intrade have been coming closer together for some time. It used to be that the RAT candidate was overwhelmingly expected to win. The RAT chances have been inching downward and are around 60% to just above 40 for McCain.

If democrats run on a campaign that says “McCain is not a conservative” they undermine 20 years of trying to sell voters on how ‘extreme’ the GOP is. Wont work.

The Dems have *already* shifted left. Our only and best solution for now is - vote McCain, then keep pulling him to the right. The loss by the Dems will force them right next time.

No, McCain does not listen to the right. He will be more damaging in the long term.

I will vote democrat for president, republican for congress this election.

“I will vote democrat for president”

Your tagline is apropos - that’s Crazy Talk. Obama is the most dangerous and leftist nominee ever. A wet dish towel would be better than him. ANd yes a mod-squad RINO who annoys us daily would be far far far far better than this dangerous, extreme, and unqualified left-liberal ‘progressive’.
One simple SCOTUS pick is reason enough, but there are others.
