I had a good friend who had similar regrets and anxious moments. He passed away and is unable to deliver his thoughts today to those who oppose McCain and have zealot principles.

I won’t stay home. I will vote for any conservative down-ticket. That is where we need to concentrate - no dim congress, regardless of who wins,

The vast bulk of “conservatives” will book their tickets on the Pure Bull Express by November. They’ll figure out some way to rationalize how voting for socialism-lite is greatly different than voting for socialism in it’s purer forms.
There will be some, such as myself, who just don’t see much of a difference and who aren’t going to vote for the GOP’s version of socialism on a longer timeline.
