CHICAGO — Barack Obama’s former pastor, who canceled several public events following an uproar over his incendiary comments, surprised a Chicago congregation by attending an event to celebrate poet Maya Angelou’s birthday.
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright got a raucous standing ovation when he entered Saint Sabina church on the city’s South Side on Friday night, according to video from WBBM-TV. Members yelled “Hallelujah!” as Wright embraced the Rev. Michael Pfleger, Saint Sabina’s pastor.
The smiling Wright accepted an invitation to give the benediction at the Roman Catholic church but did not address the furor over his past sermons. He also sang “Happy Birthday” to Angelou, whose birthday is April 4.

So, I guess this congregation agrees whole-heartedly with Wright's racist, Marxist, black liberation rantings.
Reminds me of the response to the OJ verdict.

This Pfleger dude was the one, who along with Jesse Jackson, was about to invade a Chicago-area gun store. The “gun violence protest” had been announced with great fanfare and there was a meeting outside the store, but the “invasion” was called off.
Probably because what Pfleger glimpsed inside the store was people brandishing not guns, but clenched fists.
Anyway, he’s the natural choice to welcome the racist Mr. Wright back into the spotlight.
Pfleger’s a jerk. I’m Catholic and I would never address him as “father”.
Because the problem in America is not white racism, it is black racism.
The key here is “raucous standing ovation”.
That shows that the problem is far from over. Anti-White racism is very strong and there is no sign of it abating.

Disgusting behavior by that “catholic” congregation. The priest should be defrocked.
And they grab every opportunity to jump on us for being “racist”.
In truth they are racists pure and simple. Their only opportunity to get power and to use their color to screw the whites.
I am fed up with them. I no longer listen to their chatter. And I will not be told what I can say or not say.
Let them try and live off hate. They will be the losers as it shows they are only seeking another “master” to give them everything so they do not have to think.
They have had every opportunity but - no - too hard to study for an education, too hard to work their way up like the whites do - lot easier to live in their sordid hovels and have the govivmint do the thinkin’ and worryin’ for em’. Much easier to rob and steal, sell drugs.
The fact that in their poverty - they manage to be able to take drugs tells an awful lot about their mental capabilities, their ability to survive with a “master”.
Awful telling that this preacher is so filled with hate - yet he does not live in poverty. So why the hate? He has done wonderful in this country he hates.
Does the archdiocese have some kind of annual appeal, like we have here? Perhaps all Catholics who support the unborn should be urged not to give until the archbishop does something about this evil priest. I am assuming he must be pro abortion. How can he be so in love with Obama and still be “pro life??” How sickening.
I think if I lived in that diocese I would write the cardinal and tell him I will continue to attend weekly mass but I will not contribute a penny to any church.

The problem with Catholicism embracing identity politics is that such movements literally encourage the sin of pride.
Wright’s “black value system” is a violent atrocity against everything that Christianity stands for.
