The Casey Endorsement

By Katharine Q. Seelye

In a surprise move, Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania has endorsed Senator Barack Obama in advance of the April 22 Democratic primary. Mr. Casey had said he would remain neutral in the race in part because he wanted to help broker a reconciliation between Mr. Obama and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton afterward.

“I believe in my heart that there is one person who’s uniquely qualified to lead us in that new direction and that is Barack Obama.” Mr. Casey said during a rally in Pittsburgh Friday.

Mr. Casey is going against the grain in his state, where polls show Mrs. Clinton ahead by at least 12 percentage points and where she has the endorsement of most of the state’s major Democratic figures.

But a person close to Mr. Casey said that the Senator had traveled to Florida over Easter and that rain had forced him to stay inside and he began to think more seriously about an endorsement. “He spent a lot of time thinking about it,” this person said, and he came to the conclusion that the race was “too important” to remain on the sidelines.

So a so-called pro-life democrat endorses the most pro-abortion candidate.

JMO, Casey's father is rolling in his grave.

Feldman was White's partner and a superstar fund-raiser for many Democrats. In addition to Rendell and Casey, Feldman raised nearly $500,000 for Street. He was the second-most proficient fund-raiser for former New Jersey Gov. James McGreevey.

Also could this be payaback Casey's snub at the 92 democrat(clinton) convention?

Also james carville is probably steaming right now. Carville was Casey SR.'s campign manager.

The democrats are imploding.

When asked why he was endorsing Obama, Casey responded, “I just wanted to make history by supporting the first white woman ever to run for President.” When asked to clarify his remarks, Casey drooled on his shoes and urinated in the corner. Developing...

The Hillary bomber is taking a ton of flak this week. It’s like she’s running against the media and not Obama. Isn’t it wonderful to watch!

Who would have thought we would see the day that would be happening.

Casey? Now *there’s* an intellect!

That closeted ex-hippie druggie burnout, *still* can’t get rid of his stoner voice inflections, or his submissive surrendercrat mentality.

I think Casey would score somewhere near the bottom on the Senate “Fog Index”.

The problem is, when Hilly and Willy nuke Obama (and they will) there will be invaluable chits to collect from the Obaminators by the Clintonistas. Casey, along with the others will be personas-non-granta in the Hilly/Willy camp!

Yah, there’s a “pro-life” Democrat all right. Endorse the guy that’s for late term abortions . . . because just killing isn’t enough . . . you want the baby to feel agony while it happens.

The day may come the MSM really decides to take Hilly for a ride...and start trotting out Lippo group, Travelgate, Whitewater, cattle futures, billing records, etc. etc

When and if that day comes we will know that the divorce is final.

Seriously, what rain? Where did he stay? For Sat. and Sun. Mar 22 & 23, Miami had a total of two inches of rain. OK, that accounts for 2 hours total out of 48 so how did that keep him housebound??? The number of days where the rain is constant down here can be counted without the need to remove the shoes or take one hand out of your pocket. Perhaps there was one spot in the whole state that can claim a wash-out, but I call BS on Casey.

"In a surprise move, Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania has endorsed Senator Barack Obama..."

Who is she kidding? What surprise? If you want to know how Casey will vote, or who he will endorse, just check Kerry's voting record. Bob Casey is Theresa Heinz 2nd vote in the U.S. Senate.

When I was watching Richardson endorse Obama, I couldn’t stop[ thinking the same thing. Richardson better watch his back! Even if Hillary loses, she, Willie, McCauliff, the Lizard, or one of the others in the Clinton coterie, is going to deliver to him, some serious payback. He’s going to pay for that. It may take years, but you can coount on the fact that they consider it a blood debt.

If Bill Richardson is Judas what does that make Casey? Has Carville said?
