No, but he could tolerate Rice. In a curious way, the LA Times agrees with you:
"OK, here's what's going to happen in the messy Democratic presidential race: Neither one of your favorites is going to win."
"They're gonna tear each other apart to no successful end."
"It'll stay stalled into the convention in late August, while John McCain and Condie Rice raise money and get the Republicans united and organized...

There is a great picture of the person that they think will emerge from Denver. 8^D

(I will vote for McCain if he resigns his Senate seat before this election.)

I wish I could find something here to argue with you about, but I cannot. What an abject mess we are all in, and I mean the entire country. If these three losers are the best America has to offer, then we need a complete housecleaning of our obviously broken political process (and by that I do NOT mean the electoral system the Rats are trying so hard to trash in favor of mob rule).

No. She is possibly more liberal than McCain.
If McCain picks a conservative for VP, he might pick up a few conservative votes, but if he picks Leiberman or Rice, not a chance.

Can a liberal dolk like McCain tolerate a conservative black woman for a running mate? <<
McCain is no staunch conservaive but he practically looks like Reagan compared to the pro-abortion, pro-affirmative action, Palestinian-loving Condi Rice.
We don't need RINO Rice around to move McCain FURTHER leftward.
