#6: the story about how the young trainee accidently shot him is incredible. Too bad U.S. News didn't do a whole story on it.

I heard Bill Frist tell it once and ended up sobbing.

11. My gunsmith, a retired colonel, worked alongside Petraeus a number of years ago. They were both battalion commanders at the same time. He says Petraeus is the most honest and stand-up guy he knows.
