I’m not saying this isn’t true, but remember, Shuler IS a Rat (and a lousy quarterback!). Take his words with a large shaker of salt.

Who was the worst pro quarterback of all time, Heath Shuler or Ryan Leaf?

I just had a frightening thought. What if we look back on the tenure of Jorge Busho and long for "the good old days?"
We're losing the battle.

I don’t believe this story, because I can’t imagine that McCain would deny doing this if he did it — he’s not usually one to try to hide his actions.
If a republican comes forward and says McCain called them, I’ll reconsider it. It sounds though more like some republicans didn’t want to go on record supporting this bill, and decided to blame McCain for it.

Even if every republican in the House voted for it, there would still not be enough votes. Count ‘em!

How does a Senator block a House process?
Shuler is dumb as a box of rocks (the science is settled on that one), but doen't he know how his own organization works?
Regardless, what is the RNC doing to regain Shuler's seat?
