The emo (aka Goth Jr.)dorks here in Dallas are all drag queens. It's quite funny to see the guys walk by all decked out in makeup and women's clothes.
How does their motto go?

Useless kids who are always depressed and who want everyone to know how sad, miserable and depressed they are. The name derives from emotional. Basically kids suckered by another music & fashion style.

I am assuming the “Emo” is short for “Emotional” as in highly emotional usually in a sad or depressed way. The kids who wear all black and act like they are ultra depressed all of the time... then again my take could be completely off base since I am an out of touch old fuddy duddy.
