The so-called Barbie Bandits robbed a Georgia bank together but one will be going to prison and one won't, judge decided Monday.
Ashley Nicole Miller, 19, was sentenced to two years in jail and eight years probation, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. She also was ordered to pay restitution to the bank.
Her accomplice, Heather Lyn Johnston, 20, was placed on 10 years' probation, the newspaper reported.
A third defendant, Benny Allen III, 23, the Bank of America branch teller who was the inside man in the Feb. 27, 2007, holdup, was given five years in prison plus five years' probation. Michael Chastang, 28, the person who plotted the whole scheme, has yet to be sentenced.
Miller and Johnston drew international attention when a video showing the two sunglasses-wearing blondes laughing their way through the holdup was splashed across the Internet. They were arrested two days after $11,000 in the heist.
Fair enough. The other one should have gotten some time on the inside though... they need to be scared straight.
I vote for time off for bad behavior :)
Hmmm...the lighter blonde only received 10 years probation.
(sorry...couldn’t resist...)
I agree that the other idiot should have gotten jail time, but to me, “scared straight” is something that should be reserved for young shoplifters and the like. Bank robbers of any age need significant prison time, period. Both should be rotting in a deep, dark hole for 10 years.
Let me guess... The one getting probation is the blonde? Obviously too good looking to go to prison.
That must be Ken in the middle picture.
Hey, look at what they’re packaging air in, nowadays.
What a great country.
Another case of pretty gals getting off light, and the guys getting proper sentences.
They ALL need to go to jail for the maximum time possible.
