For one thing, no military commander would ever allow the First Lady to land in his area if there was any hint of sniper fire, etc.
The plane would have been diverted immediately.
If the incident had occurred anyway, there is no way the military would just continue on with the visit and engage in sing-a-longs with Sheryl Crow et al. Please! The whole group would have been out of there IMMEDIATELY.
And the chain of command would have been under investigation to ensure they did all they could to foresee and prevent the threat on the First Lady’s life.

At first glance you’d think Bill O’R supports Hillary, but he’s also made similarly stupid arguments for Obama. Partly, I think he bends over backwards to appear fair and balanced, but also I think he wants a ‘Rat for President, whether Hillary or Barack Hussein Obama. He and Lanny seemed to be having a love-fest at Col. Hunt’s expense, but not just Col Hunt—much more is at stake.
Aside from the military insult (now from O’R as well as Hillary), I join all those others who say, if you’ve been shot at, you’re not going to forget it. Heck, I wasn’t even exactly shot “at”—but one New Years Eve a bullet zinged by my head and lodged into the wall of my house from idiots “celebrating” by shooting randomly into the air. I will NEVER forget that. How much more so if it had been deliberate? I shudder to think.
