At first glance you’d think Bill O’R supports Hillary, but he’s also made similarly stupid arguments for Obama. Partly, I think he bends over backwards to appear fair and balanced, but also I think he wants a ‘Rat for President, whether Hillary or Barack Hussein Obama. He and Lanny seemed to be having a love-fest at Col. Hunt’s expense, but not just Col Hunt—much more is at stake.
Aside from the military insult (now from O’R as well as Hillary), I join all those others who say, if you’ve been shot at, you’re not going to forget it. Heck, I wasn’t even exactly shot “at”—but one New Years Eve a bullet zinged by my head and lodged into the wall of my house from idiots “celebrating” by shooting randomly into the air. I will NEVER forget that. How much more so if it had been deliberate? I shudder to think.
Actually, I think this is exactly what it is rather than any left leaning desire. Same with when he dissed FR without ever reading FR. He just needed a counter part to diss and try to balance out his mediamatters/Daily Kos tirades. Somebody had obviously told him FR was a "right wing hate site" so he went with it without checking it out, all trying to look balanced. Actually, he backed off a bit and admitted FR wasn't "as bad as those others" (thanks to FR Kristen) but never did apologise for the blatent misrepresentations he originally made about the site.
