Oh MEG, that is such a pretty bird! I've never seen that type of bird here. We have a lot of birds visiting our yard, but not a large variety, it seems. The birds we see the most are Mockingbirds, Jays, White-capped Sparrows, House Finches and, of course, the ever-present Crows (Ravens, or whatever they are). Ocassionally I will hear a Mourning Dove, but rarely see one.

We do have a huge flock of these little yellow beauties. They love our fountain out front, especially when it is turned on. We joke about how it's the Finch family's private spa. I've never seen happier little birds. Sometimes there will be thirty or more splashing around in the water. They are tough little birds too. They don't seem to mind the cold at all. In the winter I've seen them playing in the fountain when there was ice floating in it.

Great picture!Thank you, MamaBear..

I love watching Goldfinches..My daughter near Houston has lots of goldfinches..and I have none, though I have seen them in another yard in my town..Lovely and lively little birds.

I made a mistake about having a mourning dove visit..It is a smaller Inca dove..a midget compared to my White wings..I had not seen an Inca dove since I returned to my house two summers ago...It is coming regularly now.

The squirrels love the more expensive mix I bought for my birds to supplement the sunflower seeds as did the fox early this morning....A squirrel also promptly grabbed the peanuts I put out to lure the Bluejay back.

Little robbers do entertain me..LOL

Do you keep a finch feeder up for them? I do and they can clean it out in two days. I do love them and they are so pretty. I also notice they gather around my birdbath all together when there are no other birds around. Haven’t seen them yet but I haven’t been out a whole lot since the weather is just now warming up a bit. Today is beautiful!

Oh, Lori, what a Beautiful Bird! I Wish I could See One of those Here; I did See a Small, Light Yellow Colored Bird Recently, but I'm not Sure of what it was.

Awesome Graphics, Everyone, and yorkie, I Loved the Story of the Jays and the Moth Balls, Lol! : )

My Husband Snapped this Pic Recently, and there's Nothing Wrong with the Squirrel's Foot, but the Way he is Holding it Up, he Looks Like he is Saying, "I'm Cute, aren't I?"

This appears similar to the yellow-rumped warbler I spotted around here a few months ago, or it could be a goldfinch (?) similar to what MEG sees. No need to reply, as I know I’m on an old thread, lol, just catching up with some posting...:):)
