Graham was talking about this on his show this morning. If only the proposed legislation were merely hideously embarrassing.

“But businesses would have to prove that appearance was essential to the job.”
Will they next have to prove that intelligence, common sense, good hygiene, and personal integrity are essential?

What if an employer decides that black people arent attractive? What then?
In my local hooters, black gals are as attractive and popular as the white and hispanic gals.
Rushing’s legislative motives are clear. He wants to be able to pick.

IOW the complainer empowerement act.
This is to give the little wussy crybaby who never learned to stand up for himself the ability to beat up on the self actualized.

You are just a cog like every other cog! Dehumanize by legislating against human nature - the road to hell is paved by libs.
If in my business I believe that every employee represents the character and image of my company, do I have to disparage my company image by hiring the unkept, disheveled unwashed masses? I think it would be much better to consider a business as private property of the owners and their hiring choices as a private matter. If the market responds negatively they will adjust or vanish. No tyranny required.

I guess they will have to hold the Miss Massachusetts contest outside the state from now on.

What if an employer decides that black people arent attractive? What then? Then he may well be gay.

its too bad it has to come to this, but "lookism" primarily affects women, not men...
otherwise, the likes of Larry King and Don Imus would have long gone.....
let's hear the refrain again about "hooters" being a family restaurant......LOL....now we hear that it IS about the boobs, period....

I got you beat. I’m a real troll. Does this mean I can sue a super model for declining a date or other physical means of gratification? Sweeeet!

A rallying cry for every uglo-american. Viva los feos!
This will never fly in California. Liberal as they are, the whole culture out there is based on "lookism".

The general rule is that broads get better looking the more south and west you go in this country.

This was what John Lennon called “Bagism” in the late 60s. You can’t judge someone’s character if you don’t concentrate on their personal physical characteristics. Of course, the way dear John chose to exemplify that was typically nutty! :-D
