When Clinton was challenged by a reporter that this revised account calls into question her foreign policy credentials, Clinton said, "No, I went to 80 countries, you know. I gave contemporaneous accounts, I wrote about a lot of this in my book. You know, I think that, a minor blip, you know, if I said something that, you know, I say a lot of things -- millions of words a day -- so, if I misspoke, that was just a misstatement."
Today, she said that she "had to meet this 8-year-old girl," so, "I took her stuff and left."

“Let’s see, just where was it that I was under sniper fire? hmmmmm gosh its so hard to remember all those times I was shot at...”
One would think that an “experienced” woman like Hillary would have her people vet each statement very carefully.
Her account of the Bosnian trip was prepared and written out. I notice both her and Obama using alot of vocalized pauses, (e.g. “ahhh, and you knows” )... when they speak off the cuff and are basically not up front with us.
Very well spoken young lady... Mom's dragging her down into the mud-pit if lies.
However, there IS an easy way to avoid "issues" like the one Hillary! is facing now. Just tell the truth. :-)
BTW, and IMHO....a person "misspeaks" when asked what they had for breakfast yesterday, and they reply with what they ate the day before. A person "misspeaks" when they travel constantly and they say "Hello New York" when they're really in New Orleans.
Unless she's getting shot at everyday, remembering nonexistent sniper fire isn't a misstatement....it's a lie.
Mis-spoke ... the new euphemism for lied
It was short lived but he did.
I think he was an Air Force SSGt if I remember correctly.
That scenario would have been far more credible if Gore hadn't given so many indications in recent years that he's a certifiable mental patient. Also -- from the standpoint of U.S. national politics, he picked the absolute worst issue ("global warming") to be his pet issue after his unsuccessful 2000 presidential bid. "Climate change" is the kind of issue that voters will give plenty of lip service to, but once they have any sense that their standard of living will be threatened, any concern they might have disappears in an instant.
Tag line fix ...
If she lies when she doesn't have to, imagine trying to determine what is true and what isn't for 8 years?
I'm fully expecting a big revelation about Obama to surface today or tomorrow to take the heat off of Hillary.
I'm still waiting for someone to ask Hillary how she could have possibly done all these high level negotiations without a security clearance? Her limited involvement was strictly ceremonial, not in any way substantive.
Core picked climate change for very shrewd reasons. The issue is difficult to quantify. It is highly emotional. You can easily lead a great many people in the direction you want them to go by playing on their fears. But, most of all - there are huge $$$ being made in carbon credits. Carbon credits will one day be exposed as one of the greatest rip offs of all time. And Al Gore is in the thick of this “movement.”
Guess she would have been a tad better off to have reduced her oral spewage by about 40 words or so.
to quote Miss Hillary...shoulda, coulda, woulda.
I still maintain that if Bill Clinton had said "Yup, I did it in the Oval Office with Monica. (bites lip) I'm truly sorry and I'll never ever do it again", then he'd have been canonized as one of our great presidents.
Instead, he thought that he was smarter than the American People and could lie his way out of the jam he was in. And now, his presidency is the punchline to a joke.
Her campaign will now probably adopt the strategy of her legal team and tell Hillary to respond to every question with the standard "I do not recall."
“you know, I say a lot of things — millions of words a day”....
This is classic!....You know my mouth moves but how can I be accountable for what I say cause I say so much?
She insults the intelligence of a stump!
Almost ANY environmental issue, in fact, is a non-starter in U.S. politics. "The environment" is one of those issues that people claim to care about in surveys and polls, but it actually shows up very far down the typical voter's list of priorities when they actually cast their votes.
This, by the way, is precisely why the U.S. Senate voted by something like a 95-0 margin against ratifying the Kyoto treaty back in the 1990s.
You are absolutely right but don’t discount the $$$ involved. Take a look at carbon credits - even Schwartnager claims that he buys them to justify flights on private jets. That is the only reason Gore is in the global reason game. It’s all about MONEY for these guys.
True. But I still think it doesn't do any good for his political aspirations.
