"The one who killed our commander must be punished. The killers must be punished and they will be punished, God willing," Hizbullah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah said Monday.
In a televised address in Beirut to mark 40 days since the slaying of Hizbullah terror chief Imad Mughniyeh, Nasrallah drew cheers from the crowd saying, "We will choose the time, place and manner of punishment."
Mughniyeh was killed in a car bombing in Damascus, in February. Hizbullah and Iran have accused Israel of the assassination. Israel has denied involvement.
"We feel Mughniyeh's presence more than ever. Our brothers have found nothing but courage and our enemies have found nothing but fear of revenge," added the Hizbullah leader.
Nasrallah went on to say that Israel enters into battles "in order to kill women and children, to starve and to expel."
He also accused Israel and the US of controlling world media.
"The Israelis come with strong Western media outlets, unfortunately, even to the Arab world. We are witnessing unprecedented Zionist and American infiltration into all forms of media. They want to harm our consciousness. They want to force our surrender," he said.
Nasrallah asserted that a new Israeli war with Lebanon or Syria was unlikely, as was a US strike on Iran.
"It is not simple for America to launch a war on Iran, or for Israel to launch a war on Syria or Lebanon," Nasrallah continued.
Nasrallah added that the Jewish state's withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000 and Hizbullah's "victory" over Israel in 2006 mean that a new war is "no longer that simple."
"I want to remind you that an Israeli war is no longer a picnic. An Israeli war has become very costly because there is in Lebanon the strength, will and education of the resistance (Hizbullah) as well as the blood of the resistance's martyrs," he said, drawing cheers from the crowd, estimated at thousands, who gathered at a rebuilt complex destroyed during the 2006 war with Israel.
Ping
Nasrallah is next.
more vocal diareaha from the sweaty bigmouth in a turban.
Psst. "Nasrallah I know where to find the killers." The following is a simple plan to achieve your vengeance.
Fly to Cairo as they have flights to Tel-Aviv.
Fly to Tel-Aviv.
You need to find Mossads office they are not listed in the telephone directory but I am sure they will be glad to meet you at Ben Gurion Air Port.
Mossad is very courteous and will surly escort you to their "offices" for a discussion about your vengeance plan.
I know terrorism is an expensive business and you may be short of cash. I will be glad to advance you the price of a ticket. I will even fly you First Class as befits a man of your stature.
You be carefull now.
He should be but,we'llsee.
"After he was splattered to bits real good, we know he is pretty much everywhere now, God willing."
Not unless the Israelis are willing to bomb the Iranian embassy where he hides out...
I believe I had a hand in it, being an American taxpaper. They can come for me.
Nasrallah, your big problem is that HE is not willing -- and nobody gives a da*n what your so-called "god", "Allah" thinks...
(See tagline...)
Missed mass target of opportunity...
It’s interesting that Hezbollah is talking instead of acting...and of not naming a particular organization (e.g. Mossad) for the killing yet.
...and so...The Iranian mullahs will start chanting “Death to America!” at friday prayers?
There was a 40 day mourning period after his death, that just came to an end.
Another problem for him, is that neither the Israelies or the U.S. was behind Mugniyahs death, but he was killed by a Syrian.
if i had to guess, i think word has been sent via back channels to Hezbollah and Syria that if Hezbollah retaliates and the balloon goes up, Israel is coming after them hard (even Syria), even harder then the 2006 war.
Probably had given Hezbollah pause to really stop and think about going forward with any retaliation
Syria was unable to protect Mugniyah in Damascus itself, and Syria was shown to be without effective air defense last September when Israel bombed their enrichment facility.
So syria would have to be suicidal to want a war right now.
As for Hezbollah, they are on their own and they may not even know *who* killed Mugniyah. And what can they do about it, anyway?
If the French killed him in retaliation for Mugniyah’s murder of dozens of Frenchmen, can Hezbollah really attack Paris and cut off one of the few Western countries that negotiates with them?!
And if Hezbollah could hit Israel, it would have...Mugniyah or not.
Certainly Hazbollah doesn’t want U.S. missiles raining down on its compounds in Lebanon if the CIA killed Mugniyah.
So I find it *intriguing* that Hezbollah hasn’t named the group/organization that killed Mugniyah, as well as that Hezbollah has only talked about revenge rather than physically done anything about it.
If fat boy is gum flapping, he’s opened doors he may wish he hadn’t later on.
If fat boy is announcing intent, he’s an idiot for yielding surprise.
Lose-lose.
I will say that Hezb holds one of several rapid keys that will largely determine life on earth for the next several decades, maybe millenia.
Now is the time to watch close, and Hezbollah is who to watch.
Shortly thereafter, Israel, then Syria, then Iran, then either China or the Norks.
This is NOT OIF. This thing could go global, with hours, maybe even minutes, advance notice. “Regional” is an even safer bet.
This is as much, and as little as I can say without risking OPSEC. Speculation now is pointless and perhaps dangerous.
Hezb is the key, then Syria, then Iran.
Rapidly, in many possible scenarios.
I get the feeling that Nasrallah isn’t getting too many applications to fill the open “terrorist for hire” spot.
In addition, Mugniyeh’s affinity for all things evil must really be missed if these Neanderthal’s are still crying publicly over it.
Removing this one highly capable and murdering psychopath has created a ripple effect that will only bring us closer to ending the slaughter of innocents.
