This is absolute crap. Politics will ALWAYS be devisive, thats just how it is. Anyone claiming to be able to effect otherwise is either lying, or an idiot.
“Getting things done” is a euphemism for pushing your agenda through at the expense of those who disagree. Sure, it would be a lot easier to “get things done” if everyone just could agree on the things they wanted to do; but as it is in a democratic system where people are allowed to disagree with one another and with their politicians divisiveness is the way we do things - it’s about time we started getting used to that.

I hear politicians refer to themselves as conservative quite often. I can’t remember a politician referring to him-or-herself as liberal.
I wonder why that is...
