Its not a script for the next science-fiction thriller, but renowned British scientist James Lovelock is giving human civilization less than 32 years before all hell breaks loose because of the effects of global warming.
Lovelock said the impact of climate change is irreversible regardless of what mankind does.
By 2040, the world population of more than six billion will have been culled by floods, drought and famine,

In 32 years I will be only 97, and I hope that between now and then, if I ever get as senile as this old fool and begin suffering from same sort of dementia, that someone will take me out back and put me out of my misery
For the rest of you who are younger, I'd counsel you to begin getting your house in order.
In fact, we might as well simply begin adhering to what Dr. Timothy Leary used to suggest. "Turn on, tune in, and drop out."
Hey, its all over but the shouting!!
Moreover, just when I was seriously thinking about giving up smoking, endulging in foods which contain trans fats, imbibing in an occasional adult beverage and quit chasing nubile young lasses so that I might live to be 100.
Why bother?
Gaia (after allowing us to live on its 4.6 bn year old planet for some 200,000 years) is about to exact its revenge on us mere mortals for somehow, having Pissed her off,
And we all know that Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Seriously, what is really frightening is that Eco-Moonbats such as this are actually listened to and their opinions are sought and accepted.
"According to the article, Lovelock has the ear of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and even the Queen of England. The 88-year-old scientist also supports the work of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Firms such as Shell have consulted him about his theories. Prince Charles has invited him to lecture at his summer school this year, said the article.
Loveock is also the one who coined and developed the theory of "Gaia,"
"First formulated by Lovelock during the 1960s as a result of work for NASA concerned with detecting life on Mars, the Gaia hypothesis proposes that living and non-living parts of the earth form a complex interacting system that can be thought of as a single organism. Named after the Greek goddess Gaia, the hypothesis postulates that the biosphere has a regulatory effect on the Earth's environment that acts to sustain life.

Some folks just cannot admit they are wrong... When you continue to make statements out of ignorance, you look ignorant. When you continue to make statements despite the evidence clearly proving you are wrong, you look like a raving idiot.
Those “scientists” who continue to put stock in “global warming” should be view as suspect, as should all future research that comes from their lab or pen.
Sorry tried different searches and nothing came up under this title.
> Lovelock said the impact of climate change
> is irreversible regardless of what mankind does.
The Cult of Global Hot Air won’t hear that part,
because it implies we might as well stop wasting
effort on doing anything about it, and THAT is
inconsistent with their underlying agenda.
It’s best to do a title search on one main word from the title. I did a “title” search for “paris” to find the other thread.
Yes, it is a dup but your comments are well done.
The less people listen to them and the more everyone ignores them, the more dire the prognosis.
I expect in a few months they will be screeching.
Yes, they are moonbats.
So much for carbon credits and caps.
Typical global warming histrionics.
Like China’s habitable now?
32 years, 87 days, 4 hours, and 27 minutes according to my calculations. :)
People have been feeding the ecological doomsday myth ever since the time of Malthus. The sad part is that society as a whole hasn’t caught onto to the scam after all these years. Who knows, maybe it’s Tenth bitten, Eleventh shy.
Enough is enough. This guy said the same thing yesterday. I read it right here.
I suppose you could look at the Earth as an organism, however it doesn’t have sentience, and thus...who cares?
That's what liberals want, isn't it? What're they beyotchin' about?
My grad committee assumed that anybody lacking a PhD also lacked sentience.
Is Lovelock an evil midget genius?..
