New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson yesterday suggested when endorsing Sen. Barack Obama in the Democratic presidential race that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton should drop out, while a primary-election lawsuit had made it tougher for the former first lady to secure the party's nomination.
The one-time candidate's endorsement helped Mr. Obama at the end of a difficult week, giving him the support of another former Clinton administration official who also is a superdelegate and a high-profile Hispanic.
"You will be an outstanding commander in chief," Mr. Richardson told the Illinois senator at a rally in Portland, Ore., yesterday. "Above all, you will be a president who brings this nation together."
The former energy secretary and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations during President Clinton's administration also said in an e-mail to his supporters on behalf of Mr. Obama yesterday that it may be time for Mrs. Clinton to get out of the race
"My affection and admiration for Hillary Clinton and President Bill Clinton will never waver," he said. "It is time, however, for Democrats to stop fighting amongst ourselves and to prepare for the tough fight we will face against John McCain in the fall

These suggestions have a force that will pile up. I hope she fights to the bitter end and they haul her away kicking and screaming.

This is getting interesting. All the old friends of Clinton are bailing, perhaps they don’t want their FBI files in a room of power again.

Before the Pennsylvania primary? Why? Are the DemocRATS afraid she’ll embarass Obama by winning big there and in other remaining primaries?
To: Loud Mime
They are bailing because they are political whores. None of them know a thing about loyalty.

Every Clinton victory from here out will reinforce the notion that Jeremiah Wright has hurt Barack Obama, and that is unacceptable to the Smoky Back Room types.

This guy is a real opportunist; it’s great that he was a part of the Clinton team for so long. They all deserve each other.

I keep hearing this "FBI file" conspiracy over and over again regarding the Clintons. Now the Clintons are despicable people who are unfit for public office, no doubt about that. But the notion that they have a bunker full of FBI files that they use to blackmail everybody is laughable and makes us look like a bunch of whack-jobs.
I mean, unless your name is John Dillinger or Charlie Manson or John Gotti, who cares if the Clintons have a copy of your FBI file? If I was a powerful politician and the Clinton goons tried to blackmail me with such a juvenile tactic, I would do three things:
- I would first of all tell them to take that FBI file and stick it someplace I shouldn't mention here.
- I would personally call the FBI and file a report.
- I would call Matt Drudge, put some popcorn in the microwave and watch the fun begin.

One thing for sure, this nation will have dodged a bullet if Hillary Clinton loses the nomination, even if Obama were to win the general election. The Clintons have a much more highly developed system in place to install their socialist agenda, and in a very short period of time, too. Obama's candidacy seems so much more focussed on social grievances than economic ones. He's gotten to where he is on oratorical skills, and unlike Hillary, would be an incompetent as an executive, Imho.
Bill had to run to the center to get elected in '92 and '96, if Hillary ends up in the White House having run as far left as she has, then capitalism in this country is in trouble.

you will be a president who brings this nation together
Except for all those "typical white people".

Obammie doesn’t have the skills to negotiate with the career Pols on Capitol Hill. If the Pubbies would just knuckle down and focus on the congressional races, get people to run who understand that the only way to survive is to lower taxes and SPENDING then we would be OK!

Hey, they’re the CLINTON’S - they’ll take down the party and start a race war before they’ll back off from the possibility of power.
