Thought this was kind of an interesting article. A lot of prisons are using "prison loaf" now to deal with unruly inmates. Seems like a really good idea to me. I know *I'd* behave if I had to eat this stuff!

I’ve heard of this, too. Tough bounce for the inmates and good for the prison staff. I’ve eated worse stuff back in the day when I hiked, biked and paddled everywhere.

You guys are so harsh.
After a tough day lifting weights and watching cable TV, a man is entitled to a juicy grilled ribeye and a baked potato with sour cream. Chives w’dat? How’s ‘bout some bacon bits for you kafir harbis?
BTW, I’ve eaten worse food. I usually cook for myself.

The inclusion of bread and powdered milk could actually harm some of the prisoners.

Doesn’t Joe have a patent on that? Royalties may apply. :^)
To: DemforBush
It’s simple, really. If the “inmates” don’t like the food, they shouldn’t commit felonies and get sent to prison in the first place. My heart bleeds for them.

Steak isn’t served inmates unless they finish the week’s legal studies, too.

They already do - it’s sold in the frozen section as ‘veggie (soy, tofu, nut or vegan) burgers.’

Those things are burgers? Like, for eating?
I was using them for engine mounts.

Got a recipe? Sounds like good anti-skid material to use if my car gets stuck in snow or ice.

yes those cruel hacks don't know or care anything about food allergies or effects because they like to be sued for injuring your mothers rapists or fathers killer and want to give him time off for their cruelty to him. or didn't you mean to state what is obvious to correctional professionals.

What’s “nondairy cheese”? Aged tofu? Some kind of fish paste? As for the other stuff, throw in some good spices, and it sounds OK.
