HOUSTON Presidential candidate Barack Obama's former pastor will deliver three sermons on March 30 at the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston.
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright was the longtime pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago until leaving that pulpit last month. Some of his past sermons have received new scrutiny and criticism in recent weeks in light of Obama's bid for the Democratic presidential nomination. Also seeking the nomination is Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Obama has denounced the inflammatory remarks from his pastor, who suggested in one sermon that the United States brought the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on itself. Another said blacks should damn America for continuing to mistreat them.
In a story in Saturday's editions, the Houston Chronicle reported that Wright has preached at Wheeler Avenue annually for 15 years and is part of the church's guest speakers program. Wheeler Avenue's pastor, the Rev. Marcus Cosby, is one of the black clergymen advising Obama and his campaign on religious matters.
Wright's guest sermons will come the day after he is honored at the Brite Divinity School's Black Church Summit and Awards Banquet in Fort Worth.
The divinity school is located on TCU's campus, but is a separate school with its own officers and board. TCU has issued a statement saying it opposed the divinity school's decision to honor Wright.

So, the silk robe wearing fountain of hate gets another speaking gig. Lovely.
What kind of Baptist church
promotes murdering innocent babies,
promotes perversion and
promotes coveting the goods of others?

Undoubtedly going to be the most media covered sermons of his entire life.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama’s best speechwriters are working with the da Rev. as we post.
Watch. He'll be more popular now than he could ever have imagined. Black racism sells.
Sure hope the place has a really big lightening rod on the roof. >Bo)
The next Al Sharptongue
There’s no way he is going to say anything shocking. This is a created opportunity for damage control. They want to show that the other comments were isolated and very unusual. So much so that there’s no way Obama ever heard them before.
Sure, like Obama would never watch the greatest hit sermon DVD for sale at his church of 20 years.
ThanksI already sent them an email asking the questions
I would like to ask the good pastor where the Black Value System fits in with Christian values. Or that just a typical white question (even though I’m not white)....
Short answer - none of the ones I have attended.
In fact, the churches that I have attended are far more diverse than Obama’s. What do I know, I’m just a Typical White Person (never mind my Native American great grandfather).
I would bet that he stays away from his (((House Of Hate))) political/racist speeches.
Since he is gettin a pass from the MSM, he may very well launch into one of his tirades; he thinks that he is safe. Questioning him means that you are just a bigoted cracker who doesen’t understand black people (this seems to be the new MSM mantra).
Perhaps you should direct you questions to the man in front of the cross....Huckabeee.

More disinformation from the leftist Houston Chronicle. Obama never denounced Rev. Wright or his message. He may have uttered a few weak protests about it, but he made up for that by instead denouncing his grandmother.
The only definitive way for Obama to denounce the hateful Jeremiah Wright is to publicly walk out on one of his sermons and then hold a press conference and announce that he is no longer a member of that Rev. Wright's church. But Wright is no longer the pastor. It's too late for Obama to do the Wright thing.
