Is there any wonder why racial tensions have continued unabated for the last 50+ years (since the end of Jim Crow)? I sat through numerous classes in the military, government, and private industry that were designed to help us ignornat white people to understand blacks and their issues. Now it turns out that all of that was totally one-sided - we made the efforts they clung to hatred...
I came to this country about 14 years ago, legally I might add.
I found straight away after living in a place called Hyde park Boston that racism was rife within the black community, I got white boy this is not your area, white boy F off, white boy what do you want on this bus, etc etc etc
I then get told from my work it was me who has to understand them .
Surprised and amazed was two words which came to mind.
