Rev. Wright's sermons are profoundly disappointing and sadly bigoted. Mrs. Michelle Obama's inferiority complex after attending top Ivy League schools and just "not testing well" is also unpleasant. The bigoted statements of herself and Rev. Wright make one wonder whether it is time to end Affirmative Action and other Great Society programs that were meant to fix the historical injustices.

This is the payback for the hundreds of thousand killed in the Civil War, deaths of the Abolitionists (John Brown's body etc.), the martyrs of Civil Rights struggle both black and white, the many Americans who lost life opportunities to Affirmative Action in the name of social peace. Americans have paid in blood and gold, and don't deserve such a payback.

It is time now to rethink the 40 year old policies of LBJ's Great Society. Maybe cutting people loose will help them find the strength to stand on their own feet and take pride in their own efforts.

What I heard in Obama’s speech was that we should not judge his good reverand by the content of his character but by the color of his skin. He turned MLK’s dream speech on its head; and yet, the media swoons over his delivery and ignores the content of his speeches.

The democrats have made this a race about race and are trying to blame the republicans on being racist. Steyn is absolutely correct — but then again, when is he not?

Re: Test scores.

I can tell you the exact reason why test scores are so low. Black students are afraid to look “too smart” because you’re going to be accused of “acting white” so they dumb themselves down. It’s amazing that some VERY smart blacks in this country have made it through despite that stupid self-defeating attitude that keeps many black people poor, ignorant and violent.

I’ve lived in black schools. I’ve faced the self-imposed stereotypes that were supposed to be placed on me. I do agree with you, it’s time to start cutting back the money and try to encourage a majority of people to start educating themselves and get themselves out of their hellholes they’ve made for themselves with their self-imposed intellectual and behavioral crippling.
