"Superdelegates, beware"; Bill Clinton is coming to San Jose

Where there are superdelegates there will be a Clinton. And that includes next weekend's state Democratic convention in San Jose.

State Party Chair Art Torres said Friday that Bill Clinton has accepted his invitation to a private meeting with superdelegates and the ex-president also will speak to the entire convention Sunday morning.

[snip]

One prominent uncommitted California superdelegate, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, will address the state convention on Friday night. She is uncommitted because she holds the title of chair of the party's August convention in Denver. But recently she has made comments suggesting the leader in the pledged delegate contest after the conclusion of primary season should get the nomination. At this point, that is Barack Obama.

Nancy Pelosi. So named because her too-numerous-to-mention cosmetic procedures have left her eyes permanently wide open in a look of . . . constant surprise!

:)

You only get one chance to do Don Clintononi a favor, if you turn him down, he will never ask you again....consider this an offer that you can’t refuse...

Geez, How about “Join Me and Hilde Superdelegate, and we will rule the stars together?

Ehh, over playing, if there is one thing that Bill Clinton is not, that would be a strong male Authority Figure, there is no reason to compare Mzzz. Clinton to either Don Corleone or Darth Vader, he is an effeminate suck up.

Let’s not denigrate Strong Male roles by projecting Clinton on them, that shoe won’t fit.

Question: Can super delegates change their mind at the last minute?

If they can, I can't help but wonder if the whole super delegate exodus is just a Clinton ploy to bolster the supporters of B H Obama and then at the last minute change their support back to her thighness leaving Mr. Obama high and dry.

I’d be surprised ;>)

She has way more power and prestige as Speaker (unfortunately).
