Woman beats sister with prosthetic leg

NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa., March 20 (UPI) -- A Pennsylvania woman faces criminal charges after allegedly beating her sister with a prosthetic leg and threatening her neighbors, police said.

Donna Sturkie-Anthony, 41, went to her preliminary hearing with North Huntingdon District Judge Douglas Weimer, but will continue proceedings later, allowing her to attend Greenbriar Treatment Center, WTAE-TV, Pittsburgh reported.

She allegedly yanked off her sister's prosthetic leg and attacked her with it while they were arguing about Sturkie-Anthony's alcoholism, police said. Sturkie-Anthony faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment for the January incident.

Police said approximately three weeks after the incident, Sturkie-Anthony took her neighbors' phone without permission and said she would burn their mobile home down if they gave testimony that could hurt her case.

She is charged with intimidation of witnesses or victims and terroristic threats, WTAE-TV said

I actually live in the same township as Ms. Sturkie-Anthony (about 30,000 in NHT so it is kind of a big small town). Lets just say this crazy gal in known for her wacky antics...

Hopefully jail time (not just re-hab) because she has apparently terrorized her 'hood for along time. Bad, bad news.

Actually, we are kind of a suburb of Pittsburgh. North Huntingdon is actually the 'Irwin' exit of the PA Turnpike.

When this story first broke locally (a month or two ago...today's news release is for the Magistrate's hearing) I saw her picture...and I just went ewwwww....I have seen her out in public (noticeably intoxicated by something). Mean, loud and nasty...but memorable, because fortunately you don't see many people like that. Ever.
