Let's ask the hard question about the Rev. Jeremiah Wright: Is he as far outside the African American mainstream as many of us would like to think?

Because Barack Obama's speech on race in America was so candid about both the legitimacy of black and white grievances -- and the flaws in those grievances -- it carried the risk of offending almost everyone.

Only problem is: they don't want dialog with whites. They want whites to sit down, shut up, (whites dare not open their mouths for anything they say will be twisted into a racist statement) = they just want us to sit down and listen to their grievances = real or self-perceived - and then scramble to meet their every demand, starting with monetary reparation.

In the meanwhile, black on black crime is rampant - (like in Africa). 94% of black homicide victims are killed by blacks. And yet, it's whitey's fault. It's whitey's fault so many blacks are in prison.

I'd say: "First, before we have anything to talk about, you need to read, study and implement the advice in Dr. Bill Cosby's books. Start in with his Come On People: On the Path from Victims to Victors

You need to read and take to heart the advice in Steve Perry's Man Up: Nobody is Coming to Save Us

You study those books and take the advice to heart. Implement the advice in your churches, in your neighborhoods, IN YOUR HOMES.

Then come back and we can talk, when Whitey will be allowed to also talk.

I wondered what the Mack Daddy was too. (I saw the vid on Wed & Thurs). However, if you recall, Manning said that Osama Obama pimped for white girls w/big breasts as well as black girls. Manning said the first time he ever heard of Obama was the advertisement across a white girl with big breasts. So in effect he’s calling ole Obama a pimp daddy.

Dionne is truly an idiot if he thinks that is the 'hard' question here..... the real issue is whether Obambi truly thinks he can get elected POTUS with this kind of virulent racist hateful baggage. So far he has abandoned his "post-racial" posturing and proved that he can coddle and rationalize all kinds of racism so long as it comes from a black skin. Throw grandma in front of the campaign bus while you indulge a genuine hard-core rabid racist like Wright. To the extent that Wright might not be outside the 'mainstream' of contemporary black thought, that will prove to be a huge obstacle to Obama's electoral prospects in November. Obama had better get to work on convincing those who share Wright's thinking that they are very very wrong. I don't think Obama can do that or wants to do that, so he is toast in November.
