Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America.
Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.
Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.
Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the '60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.

"Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks..
"We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude?.
"As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?.
"Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?.
"We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena. And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing..
"Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago."

Boy, Pats on a roll. Two good ones in a week (Playing by Obamas Rules http://worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=58869)
Dont agree with Buchanan on many issues, but he does have some insightful commentary on certain matters and this is a Home Run, though expect him to be piloried far and wide as a far-rigt, bigot.
Ah, a lone voice crying in the wilderness from the Conservative side.
While not the third rail it used to be, addressing these issues as Pat does, continues to be one which Republicans/Conservatives avoid like the plague.
One could only hope that McCain--if B.O. should get the nod--will have the courage to challenge Barack with much the same direct, open-mindedness.
Sadly, there is about as much chance of that coming to pass, as there is for it to be 70 and Sunny tomorrow here, in Burlington, Vermont.
Moreover, this is symptomatic of what we can expect during the general campaign. Most critique of B.O. (regardless of how germane or accurate) will be suggested as being as being racist and dutifully reinforced as such, by the Amen choir and cheeleading squad within the corrupt Lame Stream Media.
Thus IMHO (as well views expressed from those much more enlightened and erudite than I) should Barack get the nomination, it will be extremely difficult to mount an effective battle and regardless of his inexperience, far-left positions, or even his major shortcomings and poor judgment? (as we have witnessed this past week) will not prevent him from being the candidate who will be much more difficult to defeat.
Be afraid, yall, be very afraid.
I don’t often agree with Pat Buchanan, but he hits the nail on this one. I think you are also right in your comments, CVV.
Pat Buchanan is right again.
"We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude?.
I had a conversation similar to this with a black co worker. First he said no amount of reparations could make up for the “Black Holocaust” white America had inflicted on blacks. Second he files a discrinination complaint against me with my management.
Go figure.
Damn betcha!
Just as soon as we find a spokesman who represents us all.

I know a few small business owners who steer clear of hiring blacks because of the race card. Most small businesses could not afford to fight a discrimination suit which could be filed for just about anything.
Indeed. Perhaps even for something like not hiring blacks...
If they would stop raping White women, committing half the crime in the USA, burdening the social welfare system with their 70% unmarried birth rate, work hard and stop whining about racism they would be real nice people
The expectation of this imaginary inheritance the Black people continue to hold against other races in the U.S. hostage is ridiculous. There are millions of non-white nationalities who have migrated here, learned the language, the customs, and have had no problem supporting themselves without insisting we take care of them.
My question is why did the Blacks not make a homeward bound journey to Liberia which was specifically created for their freedom and reparation? Why? Because things are so good in the U.S.A.
Enough. Let the Obama Legacy be that finally the American people are going to say what has only been whispered for decades.
I think Wright’s diatribes, even more, his whole body of work, is an attack on Americans of all races, not just black against white. Why take the bait?
Its called the "Sins of our Ancestors," whether or not it is applicable to all, such as me (my parents having emigrated from Canada in the 40's) and countless others.
Matters not a whit. If we are white--we are all guilty by association
Pay up white-boy.
yup!!
Because they are 2 separate though somewhat related issues.
Yes his anti-American screed applies to all
However, his racial hate-speech was directed singularly, at Caucasians.
Such nonsense would never find it's way into anything other that a badly written Hollywood "B" script just because the totality of the historical facts do not support the premise.
Slavery did not originate with White Europeans. The first slave owners were People of Color. The northern African Egyptians enslaved the Jews (caucasians) for over 400 years alone.
Do we see Haischa Imperfeldt screaming for reparations, or condemning the Africans? No. Haischa and his people grabbed themselves by the bootstraps, pulled themselves to their full height and made something of themselves without whining for a handout because their ancestors had been mistreated.
So when we talk about White-on-Black slavery, was there perhaps a reason why it occurred? I believe there was.
The roll of the dice. It was our turn. Get over it, America.
And even if you can't get over it, your displacement of aggression which finds expression in (of all ridiculous things) a self-effacement brought on by guilt over being among the planet's "Have's" for a few decades is no reason to hand the reins of the greatest Nation in civilized history to an America-hating black man whose peculiar brand of Christianity looks more and more like Islam whenever you peel back the layers of its hatred for White America.
America should learn to accept history's penchant for rolling the dice with some grace and dignity. The same can be said of Obama and his angry "I want a handout" hangers-on.
We could all learn something from Haischa Imperfeldt. And we better do just that, before it's too late.
;-/
Another thing about howling about America’s slave history all the time.....
#1 - Obama has zero slave heritage. He’s a bad choice for their grievance boy
#2- My people got here in 1900. I have little interest in slavery and the Civil War. Blacks should only be hounding whites who were here prior to the Civil War
#3 Given high immigration rates after 1865 I’ll bet 70% of white Americans cannot trace American ancestry to pre-Civil War days
#4 Hispanics are the new #1 minority. Blacks have yet to figure this out and their stupid “leaders” were/are open borders anyway
Amen, Friend.
One can only "hope against hope for the hopeless by the hopeful"."
A little "Abomacism" there
Nitpicking here - in your eagerness to make your point against “people of color,” you’ve labeled Jews as Caucasians.
Jews (and Arabs for that matter) are Semites; they have always been Semites. Spending a few centuries in Europe doesn’t make them Caucasian.
