McCain has to stay far away from this sort of issue - let bloggers and independent 527s wrap Obambi up in it. It SHOULD be a huge impediment (and it’s a very legitimate issue) for Obama BUT if any McCain or RNC people get officially connected to anything associated with this controversy, then the ‘Rats and the MSM will be able to launch a reverse smear ala Willie Horton. In that case Dukakis was correctly tagged as an ultra-liberal too dumb to support keeping the worst criminals in jail (and the issue was originally raised by AlBore’s campaign in the primaries!!), but ever since the whole “Willie Horton” issue has been re-framed by the socialist media as an example of supposed Bush, Sr. racism and malice. A perfectly legimitate issue was turned on its head by the left and turned into a club to be used against Republican heads.

Let McCain’s campaign stay far away from this and let the blogosphere and 527 groups work their magic.

" Indicates a measure of weakness and fear if you aks me."

If McCain told them he didn't want his campaign run that way then it's insubordination on the lackey's part.

He’s shown me that he’s afraid to campaign against Obama for fear of being seen as unPC.

Q: What’s the definition of a racist?
A: A white person winning an argument with a “person of color”.

The Beast, OTOH, can beat McVain. I , for one, think Rush should have kept his fat mouth closed.

According to all polls of late, McVain is leading both.

Would you and other Rush-Bashers care to suggest that it would be the same today if B.O. had swept the last Primaries and Her Thighness was down for the count?

Also, do you really believe that the chaos, tumult and confusion within the Dhummy party would be such as it is if it were at all over but the shouting and on to the coronation for B.O.?

Perhaps, but I think not.

Okay, I can buy that, but was it necessary to make such a big deal over it through a press release, thereby giving the appearance of his being "holier than thou," all the while, in actuality, being scared "witless?"

If BHO gets taken out by this I want all fingers to point to Herself as the culprit. I don't want to give her the windfall of having the R's doing her dirty work and then beating them up for it later.

Yes, agree, but what's that old saying: "You can run, but you can't hide."

Perhaps staffer disobeyed edicts on commenting or piling on, but if McLame is unwilling to even issue a statement regarding B.O.'s lack of good judgment, what makes anyone believe he will even make an issue of any such flaw during the campaign--against either one?

You’re right, it didn’t need a press release.

But your making my (and Rush's) point.

If McPain or RNC cannot comment on this, what can they possible hope to accomplish in the general election less the same be attributed to them at that time; biggots, racist, etc., regardless what the issue might be they are questioning about B.O.?

Its a no win situation and the only hope I'm beginning to see is for the Beast to get the nod.

She will be much easier to attack with plenty of ammo avaialbe--if, Juan dares use it.

I agree.

Let's see, Rush said he "doesn't endorse candidates in the (Republican) primary", but he can shill for the Hildabeast? I don't get it.

We dont know who leaked the Pastor speech to Youtube, but youre not saying none of this would have come out if she had dropped out, are you? BTW, theres more junk to come out on this fraud, I wouldnt doubt it. We're months from November

Oh, and if she wins the nomination because he tanks, I have no doubt she'll pull in 95 % of the Black vote she would have if he hadnt been around. After all, she is promising most of them a lot of goodies, free of charge

McCain is going to be the Compassionatedoor-mat Conservative Republic that is not Conservative and is going to lose to one of the weakest candidates since McGovern. He has now way or desire to differentiate himself.

“How did we end up without a choice for conservatives? I am concerned about this election.”

I agree, it’s a terrible outcome to a terrible process. Several points I think caused this:

After Super Tuesday, McCain became the putative nominee with little more than 35% of the vote.

The above happened due to several large, winner-take-all states, but we had four or five viable candidates. It’s as if a state elected it’s governor and senators with one voting day, no runoff, and the winner got 35%.

The non-McCain vote in all states was scattered among the three or four other viable candidates. Huckabee in particular pulled much of the evangelical vote from Thompson and Romney, so neither of those two were able to build a winning coalition.

If we’d had only two or three viable candidates, winner-take-all states would have worked fairly well, but they are a (IMO) a disaster when there are four or five viable candidates. They can, and did, serve up a very marginal winner such as McCain this year.

Smart move. Let the Internet devour Obama.

Perhaps, but to suspend an aide and publicly proclaim so?

Indicates a measure of weakness and fear if you aks me.

Yes, I would much rather read that McPain dumped that LaRaza advisor guy instead.

Possible outcome:

As polls currently show, Obama wins the nomination, but around 40% of Hillary’s white voters go to McCain in the GE.

McCain receives a healthy Hispanic vote, a good part attributable to many Hispanics reluctance to vote for a black candidate.

McCain wins fairly handily and attributes his win to his “humane” approach to illegal aliens (no mention of the first two points above).

A disaster for Republicans in the long run.

If Rush had endorsed a Republican candidate in the primaries, that Republican would’ve been smeared by the endorsement (look at how Obama severed his official connection to the New Black Panthers on his website).

Additionally that candidate would’ve been targeted with other smears (”has bad breath”, “is he still beating his wife”, “where are his taxes”, “does he really go to church”, etc. etc.).

There is no “up” in it for the media to ATTACK Hillary Rotten Clinton for getting endorsed by Rush Limbaugh. Instead the media attacks the crossover Republicans who were courted by BOTH Obama and Clinton. And there never was media outrage over Democrats crossing over in 2000 and again in 2008 to give us McCain as a leading GOP candidate.
