Clarification:
The Obama campaign has told members of the press that Senator Obama was not in church on the day cited, July 22, because he had a speech he gave in Miami at 1:30 PM.
Our writer, Jim Davis, says he attended several services at Senator Obama's church during the month of July, including July 22.
The church holds services three times every Sunday at 7:30 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Central time.
While both the early morning and evening service allowed Sen. Obama to attend the service and still give a speech in Miami, Mr. Davis stands by his story that during one of the services he attended during the month of July, Senator Obama was present and sat through the sermon given by Rev. Wright as described in the story.
Mr. Davis said Secret Service were also present in the church during Senator Obama's attendance.
Mr. Davis' story was first published on Newsmax on August 9, 2007.
Shortly before publication, Mr. Davis contacted the press office of Sen. Obama several times for comment about the Senator's attendance and Rev. Wright's comments during his sermon.
The Senator's office declined to comment.
Contrary to Senator Barack Obamas claim that he never heard his pastor Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. preach hatred of America, Obama was in the pews last July 22 when the minister blamed the white arrogance of Americas Caucasian majority for the worlds suffering, especially the oppression of blacks.

I have already condemned, in unequivocal terms, the statements of Reverend Wright that have caused such controversy. For some, nagging questions remain. Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes. Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely just as Im sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests, or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed. But the remarks that have caused this recent firestorm werent simply controversial. They werent simply a religious leaders effort to speak out against perceived injustice. Instead, they expressed a profoundly distorted view of this country a view that sees white racism as endemic, and that elevates what is wrong with America above all that we know is right with America; a view that sees the conflicts in the Middle East as rooted primarily in the actions of stalwart allies like Israel, instead of emanating from the perverse and hateful ideologies of radical Islam. As such, Reverend Wrights comments were not only wrong but divisive, divisive at a time when we need unity; racially charged at a time when we need to come together to solve a set of monumental problems two wars, a terrorist threat, a falling economy, a chronic health care crisis and potentially devastating climate change; problems that are neither black or white or Latino or Asian, but rather problems that confront us all.
So he was still saying he wasn't there for that particular speech that has been running on the cable shows over and over again since last week.
NewsMax's Jim Davis was an eyewitness reporter and said he is basically lying.
NewsMax contacted the Obama campaign and they have refused to respond - yet.
SO: whether Mr Davis, whom I DO NOT DOUBT had he intestinal fortitude to listen to at least one live and countless televised rants from Wright, got the particular date confused or not....
By the words of Barack (Voldemort) Obama HIMSELF, today, March 18, 2008, he IS guilty of perjuring himself on multiple occasions in the court of public opinion. Also of being a grovelling, craven Wormwood for throwing Granny to the piranhas Barack (Voldemort) and even casting suspicion on his wife in order to deflect some from himself, while WHINING that it's all whitey's fault got being too stupid to see Da Black Man's point of view...
Barack (Voldemort) Obama WOULD be found guilty in a court of law if he had committed something there were technically a law against, and casts REASONABLE DOUBT on the case some are making that Mr. Davis deliberately lied in his original story last August.
Case found in favor of the defendant Mr. Davis, whom I would ping if I could remember his screen name.
Now that's more like a Democrat's response.
It’s racist to talk about Obama talking about race every other sentence, because he only talks about race every other sentence in order to heal the racial divide, which many of us didn’t even know still existed until Obama told us every day that it’s alive and well...so HE can’t be racist...right?
He’ll try to parse his previous words but it’s not going to fly. He’s a hypocritical American hating liar.
“If you dont vote for the Honorable ObamaX, youre a racist.”
I get the reference to “ObamaX” but I like to call him “Damien.”
No, I’m not saying that he is the anti-Christ. What I am saying is that he has ulterior motives.
His credibility is now zero.
Questions that should be asked of him:
“Do you expect the American voting public to believe that in the 20 years you attended that church, that you NEVER heard anti-American, anti-Caucasian or anti-Jewish statements by the most honorable Rev. Wright?”
“Do you think that the American voting public is that gullible and stupid?”
“Is it a mere conincidence that the most honorable Rev. Wright has suddenly “retired,” is on “vacation” and is “unavailable for comment” after this story of his anti-Americanism surfaces while you are running for the presidency?”
I believe it’s philo1962
In fact, Obama was present in the South Side Chicago church on July 22 last year when Jim Davis, a freelance correspondent for Newsmax, attended services along with Obama. In his sermon that day, Wright tore into America, referring to the United States of White America and lacing his sermon with expletives as Obama listened. Hearing Wrights attacks on his own country, Obama had the opportunity to walk out, but Davis said the senator sat in his pew and nodded in agreement.Yes. That's from the original article. Obama's campaign denied it and pointed out that he was in Miami that day. Newsmax's "clarification" doesn't state that Obama definitely was at that service - it actually backtracks from the article and make things less clear by stating the author was at services throughout July, including the 22nd and that Obama was at one of those services in July - but not necessarily the 22nd.
I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms Lewinsky.
Basically - yeah. This could be on his political tombstone.
“I understand MSNBC has suspended Mr. Imus,” Obama told ABC News, “but I would also say that there's nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group. And I would hope that NBC ends up having that same attitude.”
Speak to La Raza from 1;30 to 3PM Miami time, hop a private jet, what 2 1/2 to 3 hour flight to Chicago, I think you gain an hour, meet Michelle at the church at 6 Chicago time, very doable.
The Campaign Tracker has him flying back to Chicago after his speech in Florida to the National Council of La Raza.
One blogger is combing Obama's campaign website to try and get the info.
If he was there, it is going to come out.
He's getting the full "Wellstone Funeral Rally" (tasteful and beautiful) treatment in an attempt to ...bring their Messiah back from the political dead [original sentence deleted...hopefully this replacement one will get the point across without being TOO offensive; apologies in advance if it is...but I DO question the the timing and content of his rescuers considering the time of year...if you were wondering...I was offended my my own train of thought, given that Easter is this Sunday]
Today Obama admits he DID hear Wright make racist remarks but blames everyone but himself. Thoughts?
Bill Clinton would lie to their faces and then they would do a show about how great he was at lying to them and how wonderful it was to be lied to by him.
I could never vote for him for any office, but I didn't 'dislike' him, nor did I 'like' him. I really had no opinion of him as a person.
Now however, I have a very strong distrust of him.
In the July 22 sermon?
Obama admitted today that he did, in fact, hear Wright say things he previously said he didn't hear Wright say in Public or private....so at this point we ought to be past throwing the originator of this very real and true story under the bus with Obama's grandma.
