My jaw dropped reading this section of Obama's speech. He first equates Reaganism, anti-crime efforts, criticism of affirmative action and welfare reform with Revereand Wright's statements. He really equates all of these with racism, but then says dismissing it as racism is counter productive.
Obama instead attributes all these mainstream American values movements to an ongoing class struggle. Somehow corporate profits and executive compensation are the real causes of these "misguided" racist reactions by whites and blacks. Corporate America is pitting white against black, like puppets.
Please read this part of the speech carefully, because it makes no sense, it is a deeply left wing view of America, and it no doubt is grounded in Rev. Wright's view of America:
Obama: "Like the anger within the black community, these resentments aren’t always expressed in polite company. But they have helped shape the political landscape for at least a generation. Anger over welfare and affirmative action helped forge the Reagan Coalition. Politicians routinely exploited fears of crime for their own electoral ends. Talk show hosts and conservative commentators built entire careers unmasking bogus claims of racism while dismissing legitimate discussions of racial injustice and inequality as mere political correctness or reverse racism.
Just as black anger often proved counterproductive, so have these white resentments distracted attention from the real culprits of the middle class squeeze – a corporate culture rife with inside dealing, questionable accounting practices, and short-term greed; a Washington dominated by lobbyists and special interests; economic policies that favor the few over the many. And yet, to wish away the resentments of white Americans, to label them as misguided or even racist, without recognizing they are grounded in legitimate concerns – this too widens the racial divide, and blocks the path to understanding."
He said that white racism was the basis of the Reagan Coalition. I despise this fiend more than ever.
During the 153 years since the end of the Civil War which political party has contributed the most to the racist undercurrent which you say permeates our current society?
Hint! Ku Klux Klan aka Democrat Party, segregationism, anti-Negro sentiment in all walks of life.
this is what the black leftist believe folks. They believe that Conservatism is actually racism! Because we as conservatives believe in freedom(not universal healthcare,not socialism,etc..) therefore we are against blacks or other people who can’t take care of themselves!

He basically reiterates the same nasty leftist thesis about Reaganism - that a bunch of white people thought to themselves: "Well, all things being equal, I love high taxes and I'm over the moon about how the US has been humiliated in this whole hostage crisis. I also can't get enough of all the great things the USSR is doing. But if this Reagan guy says he'll help us teach them n****** a thing or two, I reckon I'll vote for him."

Obama's belief that white fears of crime (as if blacks don't fear crime just as much) are misguided are straight out of Rev. Wright screaming "God Damn America" - because of three strikes laws designed to put away the most violent criminals.

So basically, if you don’t support socialism, you are a racist. Yep, that is exactly what he is saying...if you don’t support massive taxes and wealth redistribution, if you don’t support affirmative action, if you voted for Reagan, if you believe in capitalism, you are a racist.
He is such a uniter...NOT. Basically, if you don’t vote BHO and adopt his Marxist view, if you don’t support his type of change, you are a racist. If you do not adopt his philosophy of over-hauling the American traditions you are a racist. How about this? Go to hell B. Hussein. I love America! I read Sen. Obama’s speech on Drudge and as a white man the evil scales have fallen from my eyes.
I now realize that a bright and equal for all America needs:
More money for failing public schools as kids of all colors and classes attend those schools and need to learn and have a free breakfast.
Black folks have less money than other ethic/race groups as Jim Crow laws and discrimination of 50-100 years ago kept them poor and today’s blacks didn’t get the huge inheritances I as white folks got. Black men of Rev. Wright’s generation rightly are angry over this. Plus, some young Black men today feel this poorness and lack the pride necessary to keep from crime or care for their children.
As a white guy in America, I should not blame my job and economic woes on those few Blacks who may have stepped ahead of me due to affirmative action. My woes are the result of the evils of capitalism and greedy corporations that have outsourced my job to Asia and canceled my pension and health care.
Speaking of jobs and health care, my security needs to be guaranteed by a bigger government that manages the economy better than market driven capitalism. Also, my wait at the emergency room will lessen when Democrats nationalize health care.
Last, all of us Americans need to feel good about our diverse culture and the benefits of immigration and stop listening to those bad conservative talk show hosts that just talk negative and stirr up divisive anger.
That folks is what I just learned by reading the OBAMA SPEECH.

He needs a trip to Zimbabwe and an up close and personal talk with the farmers who USED to feed that country.
Now more than ever before we need a Black Conservative to counter the message of Obama.....
'My father was an African' (leaves out the muslim part).
Mentions his White grandmother only to trash her as racist but doesn't ascribe any racist talk to anyone else in his life (like Michelle never uttered an errant word about Whites).
Says that we all have heard speech that we disagreed with from our 'Pastors, Priests, Rabbis' (again leaving out muslims)....
