More than half of voters are less likely to support Barack Obama for president after hearing the anti-American rants of his longtime Chicago pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, a shocking poll revealed yesterday.
The Rasmussen Reports survey found that Wright's controversial comments made 56 percent of voters, including 44 percent of Democrats, less inclined to vote for Obama.
Two-thirds of the 1,200 people polled said they knew of Wright's statements, which have been broadcast repeatedly on media outlets over the past several days.
And 73 percent of voters, including 58 percent of black voters, called Wright's comments racially divisive.
In yet another Wright video that emerged yesterday, he is seen denouncing Israel as a "dirty word" and a "racist country" partly responsible for the 9/11 attacks.
"I said that dirty word again. Every time you say 'Israel,' Negroes get awfully quiet," Wright said in a sermon he gave in September 2002.
Other explosive comments that Wright made as pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago include blaming America for 9/11, accusing the government of creating AIDS ...

—Obama seems to have the delegates to win the DNC in August.
Hillary should lose by August.
We are getting ready for November.—
So do you *really* believe cranky old gramps (and he would look like Grandpa Munster with a tux and a little makeup) is gonna beat fresh young Hussein, even with that “burn baby burn” preacher of his? I doubt it.
Where have you been - - here’s the video!

Authentic enough?
—And, your point is?—
That the USA is going to be stuck with:
1. A pantsuit wearing 70s throwback with a former POTUS “husband” telling her what to do.
2. A charming, young unknown with an insane pastor; said charming young unknown exposes his kids to this nutjob (sad).
3. A cranky, intemperate quasi-liberal who is knockin’ on Heavens door (hope he picks a conservative Veep)
Either way, we are in beaucoup trouble.
Wright is as bad for the O campaign as Bubba is for the Witch’s campaign.
They deserve each other.
I’m shocked, I tell you, SHOCKED!! at these revelations about BO.
OK! So what are YOU going to do about it?
Lets hope Obamamania has peaked at the top of its curve, and this becomes a downward trend. ;oP
It’s so much more than who John McCain faces in November. It’s about destroying the Democrat party from within.
You got a good link(s) regarding Ethanol and how it affects food prices?
I should ask you the same thing. Personally, I’ve been voting in every election since 1976, and this is the worst choice I’ve ever been faced with. Will I hold my nose really tight and vote for McNutty? Probably not. I certainly won’t vote for the dem candidate. I’ll either write somebody in (a waste of time, I know) or just leave the POTUS slot blank and vote for good candidates “down ticket.” I refuse to vote for someone just because they’re a little less evil than the other person.
—Its about destroying the Democrat party from within.—
That would be great, but it’ll take more than a convention dustup to do that. Watergate was the equivalent of a nuclear bomb hitting the GOP (1974 elections), but it bounced back over 4-6 years big time.
That article tells me he is a cagey politician willing to keep his head down to get ahead. Like most of them.
I’ll look at it later. I have dial up.

It is, if you wear a pantssuit.
Bob Beckel was steamed.
Later, I asked him why he was so upset.
He replied ..."because Obamas people didnt vet him and now Hillarys going to win.
Catch that?
A senior Democrat strategist thinks that Obama has lost the campaign over his association with Reverend Jeremiah Wrights militant separatist language that includes statements like God Damn America. ...."
Just What Did Obama Know About Wright's Past Sermons? (Plenty)
Barack Obama either agreed with what was preached from the Trinity pulpit, or he tuned it out and stayed around pretending to for political reasons. To say he stayed for 20 years but doesn't agree with Wright's preaching is incredible denial. It'd be like a man buying White Sox season tickets for 20 years, attending the games, and saying he's not a fan.
Obamas supporters want us to ignore this story just push it under the rug. While theyll align Republicans with any obscure pastor who does or says something controversial, theyre trying to convince us that Obamas 20-year long close relationship with Wright, including his effective endorsement of him, his church and rhetoric with a $22,500 donation in 2006 is irrelevant.
When Obama decided against wearing an American flag pin, we may all have been a bit too quick to accept his rationale, too quick to find that issue unimportant. Now, that American flag pin has gotten a lot bigger for a lot of us, especially in light of what may have been and may still be Obamas deeper, and, perhaps, secret, less than patriotic beliefs about America.
Notice her ear ring!
Wright says that blacks cant be expected to sing God Bless America because of racism. Obama doesnt salute the flag during the National Anthem. That sure strikes me as an amazing coincidence since Obama swears he never heard Wright say anything against America.
