8 reasons I won't vote for John McCain

Exclusive: Gordon James Klingenschmitt on why Alan Keyes will be his choice

In a recent WND column, Janet Folger begs social conservatives to vote for John McCain. She believes McCain will rescue "most everyone" from our political "burning building" – when in fact McCain has already locked arms with the Kennedys, Feingolds and liberal Democrats to keep social conservatives "out" of politics while they burn our constitutional republic to the ground.

Like our mutual friend Alan Keyes, I've been a lifelong Republican and never voted third party, but this time I've had enough (and apparently so has Alan Keyes, who reportedly is quitting the GOP).

So here are eight reasons I won't vote for McCain and will continue to support Dr. Keyes wherever he leads our Exodus:

1. Sen. McCain refused to help me when I fought to pray "in Jesus' name" as a Navy chaplain. When I walked into his office on Capitol Hill, two of his liberal staffers told me I should water down my prayers and stop praying "in Jesus' name." McCain will surround himself with similar liberal appointees in key White House positions.

Meanwhile, Alan Keyes helped Dr. D. James Kennedy and friends get 70,000 petition signatures for chaplains in a national petition drive to overturn my "religious speech crime" court-martial. Alan also raised $10,000 to pay my legal costs and successfully lobbied Congress to overturn the bad prayer policy. Which candidate defends religious liberty – Keyes or McCain?

On reason I probably WILL NOT vote for him (and certainly either of the two Dims): BORDER.

See, right there, we cancel each other out.

Whether I vote for him or not, if he wins I plan on holding his feet to the fire during his entire term of office.

I'm with you on that. When he wins he is going to wish he had lost because I am going to be on the spam block list before his term in office is up.

We should all find an email service that generates a unique email address each time we type in our message!

Two reasons I might as well. Good luck to this clown with his Keyes vote.

The contenders who were for fixing the border problem couldn’t even get to the 1st tier - except maybe Fred.

I’m resigned to voting for McCain to keep the rat out.....

Both will lose any presidential election. The GOP could run Mickey Mouse and beat those two shysters.

I'm not crazy about Juan McCain, but the issues of Supreme Court justices, the War on Terror, taxes and spending are more than enough for me to vote for him.

I understand that except for the spending part, McCain hasn't been ideal on any of these issues, but there's no doubt at all that he would be infinitely better than either Clinton or Obama. Even when it comes to immigration, McCain is better than those two.
