The thunderous applause was still ringing in his ears when the state's new governor, David Paterson, told the Daily News that he and his wife had extramarital affairs.
In a stunning revelation, both Paterson, 53, and his wife, Michelle, 46, acknowledged in a joint interview they each had intimate relationships with others during a rocky period in their marriage several years ago.
In the course of several interviews in the past few days, Paterson said he maintained a relationship for two or three years with "a woman other than my wife," beginning in 1999.

Glad they worked it out. Not only for the kids, but they acted like adults, sought counseling (when needed) and worked through a tough time in their marriage. Can't say I know what they went though, but congrats to them for sticking with it.

Asked if he had stayed with anyone else since 2001 at the same West Side hotel, Paterson said, From time to time I used to take Michelle to that hotel.Notice he didn't answer "No" to the question

At least he didn’t try the “ I’m legally blind and I couldn’t tell it wasn’t my wife” approach.

I wonder if they ever did it with the lights on?
To: InvisibleChurch; neverdem; The Mayor
In a second interview with Paterson and his wife Monday, only hours after he was sworn in to replace scandal-scarred Eliot Spitzer, Michelle Paterson confirmed her husbands account. I heard this was going to happen, and I've been watching FOXNews.com and MSNBC.com and they've had NOTHING about it.
The only breaking news I saw one have was about some divorce settlement for Paul McCartney.
You'd think nothing happened in NY.
Geez, talk about priorities.
