McCain won't bow to the Religious Right.
At United Jewish Communities conference, three representatives from the presidential campaigns of Senators John McCain, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, talked with an audience about why their candidate benefits the Jewish community.

Interesting, but not sure how much of an adviser Eagleberger is to McCain. He might get the Pastor Jeremiah treatment now. LOL

“...talked with an audience about why their candidate benefits the Jewish community.”
Any scheduled talks regarding how the candidates benefit the Catholic community? The Protestant community?

The question was would he “sell out” to the Religious right.
That answer to be “no” as to selling out to any group.
Now certainly Eagleburger does a bad job of answering. I hope he doesn’t wind up in the cabinet.

Yeah, completely confused by that. Rush is a bulldog of the religious right?

That’s my problem with mccain, I don’t think he is going to shift to the right either. So on that point Eagleberger and I agree. And as a result I cannot vote for him.

He says that McCain is going to suck up to us on immigration, though, and he says that he’s already clear on abortion. Apparently, the only thing Eagleberger could come up with to support his thesis is that McCain favors stem cell research.
To: gondramB
The question was will he suck up to the Christian Right. The question alone was offensive.

I'm finding it very hard to vote for McCain even after considering the damage Obama and Clinton can cause to our country.
I really worry about the Damage McCain can do.After all,all we have to do is look at the damage he has already done.

McLoon.... is most likely going to tap Romney and that will be the "good-bye" move for me....
I have a hard time justifying any reason to vote "for" John McNasty

Well, Rush did lead the charge against Illegal Immigration Amnesty, which humiliated McCain and his idea that "extracurricular activity" (participation by the people) should not be allowed. Don't think he can ever forget or forgive.

Don not get suckered by the Wash compost set up with a wife beater question.
Even the headline of this DNC hit piece on McCain was set up by the Wash Post and the DNC media to make McCain look bad either way.
It was a set up so they could run this headline to piss off republicans.
Was the guy supposed to say, yes we will pandered to the religious right and then the Compost could run a headline screaming that McCain is bucking the right wing nuts roots.
of his party.
This is another tired DNC media trick pulled on Repubs.

Lawrence Eagleburger is a RINO and has always been. I think he's probably an accommodationist/Arabist on foreign affairs, as he was one of Henry Kissinger's deputies 35 or so years ago.
This is another reason I'm still having a hard time with McCain. These RINO holdover dinosaurs who are making league with the liberal Dems to try to get back into power one last time before they assume room temperature are all hitching a ride on the "Not So Straight Talk Express". If McLame would shove these people over the side (politically speaking) once and for all I would feel better about him.
BTW, he was Secretary of State for all of 15 minutes, replacing James Baker at the end of GHWB's administration.

“Well, Rush did lead the charge against Illegal Immigration Amnesty”
Rush was about 10 years late in joining the protest against illegal immigration, and even now he opposes deporting them. Some leader. He ought stick to golf if he’s just going to get in the way.

McCain and his aides and all Repubs are going to get a sea of wife beater questions for now on from all the Dem media outlets. The Dems are sinking fast and the Dem media knows it. Why would anyone even answer a question that starts with the usual DNC media set “the religious right “ , What the heck is that anyways.
I guess its easy to criticize when you not the one caught in the crossfire of the Democrat with a press pass trying desperate to derail your bosses WH run.

Why would Rush oppose deporting illegal aliens - they are criminals who show a disrespect for our laws, with many of them violent gang members and terrorists?
