March 17 Xinhua.
Harmful vibrations were directed towards Chinese embassies around the globe today by Tibetan Splittist activists.
Powerful vibratory devices concealed within Buddhist “Prayer wheels” are thought to be the cause.
More to follow.

I’d like to see some evidence of this list of 16 attacks. Did someone walk by and direct a harsh word at them or is there something more?

threatening life of its diplomats This sounds like a statement justifying the extreme response that is about to come down against Tibet.

Then go for that directly - regardless of the consequences. The Olympics is just “feel good” symbolism.

U.S. SHOULD BOYCOTT THE 2008 OLYMPICS! If that doesn't happen, I hope our athletes will shout "Free Tibet!" whenever they're awarded a medal on live television, so everyone in China can hear it.

Boycotting the Olympics would hurt the Chinese far more than resending their trade status. For the Chinese communists saving face is pretty much ALL that matters.

If that doesn't happen, I hope our athletes will shout "Free Tibet!" whenever they're awarded a medal on live television, so everyone in China can hear it.How about FREE CHINA. END COMMUNIST RULE. While I have a lot of sympathy for the Tibetans I have equal sympathy for the millions of Chinese who live under the same totalitarian system as the Tibetans. The fetishistic support for Tibetans while ignoring the larger problem of China itself is some weird "progressive" cover-up.
If one party, military enforced, rule by unelected minority is "not cool" for a few million Tibetans why is it OK for the other 1 billion Chinese?
To paraphrase a 70s Soul record:
Free China, and Tibet will Follow.
To: Jack Black
"The fetishistic support for Tibetans while ignoring the larger problem of China itself is some weird "progressive" cover-up." That is an obnoxious statement. Tibet is not a fetish. It's just a good place to apply pressure on China.
"Free China, and Tibet will Follow."
The more likely scenario is - Free Tibet, and China will follow.
Ronald Reagan understood how to dismantle the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact by indirectly applying pressure on the USSR's external projections like the Berlin Wall and Afghanistan. The same tactics can be used against China in Tibet and other places.
