In a sermon delivered at Howard University, Barack Obama's longtime minister, friend and adviser blamed America for starting the AIDS virus, training professional killers, importing drugs and creating a racist society that would never elect a black candidate president.
The Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., pastor of Mr. Obama's Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, gave the sermon at the school's Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel in Washington on Jan. 15, 2006.
"We've got more black men in prison than there are in college," he began. "Racism is alive and well. Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run. No black man will ever be considered for president, no matter how hard you run Jesse [Jackson] and no black woman can ever be considered for anything outside what she can give with her body."
Mr. Wright thundered on: "America is still the No. 1 killer in the world....We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns, and the training of professional killers...We bombed Cambodia, Iraq and Nicaragua, killing women and children while trying to get public opinion turned against Castro and Ghadhafi...We put [Nelson] Mandela in prison and supported apartheid the whole 27 years he was there. We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God."
His voice rising, Mr. Wright said, "We supported Zionism shamelessly while ignoring the Palestinians and branding anybody who spoke out against it as being anti-Semitic....We care nothing about human life if the end justifies the means...."
Concluding, Mr. Wright said: "We started the AIDS virus...We are only able to maintain our level of living by making sure that Third World people live in grinding poverty...."

It sounds to me like this “minister” has been watching way too much TV and movies. He probably thinks the Bourne movies are all documentaries.
One of the reasons people listen to Rush Limbaugh is that he validates positions they already hold. Did Obama join Rev. Wright’s church because Rev. Wright validates positions that Obama already held?
It really doesn’t seem that Barrack Obama can dodge these continuing revelations. How does a man call a man a friend when that man is an America-hating racist? No matter what Sen. Obama says about the Rev. Wright, he (Obama) has had at least 22 years in support of him. It looks like the curtain is coming down on Barrack H. Obama.
Will Obama be forced to withdraw before the Democrat convention? Hope not.
A little news of the (POS) pastor Wright’s military service. He served in the USMC 1961-1963 highest/rank grade held Pfc/ E-2. Wright served in the US Navy 1964-1967 highest rank/grade held third class/E-4.
It is very obvious, Wright was sub-standard performer as a Marine and Sailor in regards to his rank/grade.
Wright is a legend in his own racist little monkey mind.

Days after 9/11 this bigoted anti-american reverend was gleeful about the attacks on America... this is only 5 days after the attack..while there were still bodies not found at ground zero..Obama should never become the president of the wonderful country..I do not believe this man when he said he did not remember hearing any of this stuff the racist pig said about us..If you watch the congregation during Wright “sermons” it is clear that they very much share his views..Wright’s church makes money by marketing his firebrand speeches. That’s how ABC got the CDs to begin with. They bought them from the church.
Think of how much hate his daughters have absorbed from this insane “church”!

I would vote for many blacks. Herman Cain, Thomas Sowell, Clarence Thomas...and for a while Condolessa Rice was on that list.

That is the greatest and saddest irony of the whole tawdry story. Obama had a real shot at victory as long as your average white Democrat and Independent thought he was just another more-or-less patriotic liberal with a slightly darker shade of skin. Now, he can't win with the albatross of this crazy preacher man hanging around his neck. Hillary will either wrest the nomination away from him via the superdelegates, or he will get crushed by McCain in the fall. This will provide more fuel for more paranoid, angry sermons at more black churches, and make it even less likely that any black man coming from such a background would ever be trusted with power by white America.
