just sent my first political contribution to the Congressional campaign of former Army Lt. Colonel Allan West, who is running on the "R" ticket in Florida House District 22 --- that's in Broward County. Colonel West is a man who has proved himself, not just in the rigors of combat, not just in leadership, not just in the technical craft of military tactics and strategy, but in the most difficult life-and-death dilemma a human being can face. He made an agonizing moral decision to save his men from a likely ambush. To do so, he shot off a pistol next to the head of a suspect, forcing him to confess vital lifesaving intelligence. Col. West didn't do that to punish the man, but to save lives. It worked.

affirmative action alert.
Thanks for posting this. I just sent a contribution to Colonel West, hero and Patriot!
She is still hell bent on showing everyone that she is all that, when she’s not, sorry Mishee, couldn’t make the grade again. This time when they go back to thier humble beginings they can truely rant and rave in church about the America they have grown to hate and feel a sense of being.
Thanks all of you who expressed your support and who contributed to this very fine man.
just donated; also sent an email to all of my fellow right-wing conspirators to do the same.
That’s hysterical.
I got a very funny and sweet email in which Lt Col West expressed astonishment and gratitude at the support that’s pouring in. Let’s get this guy into COngress!
Very cool.
I’m looking forward to a future ticket of Col “tell me or else!” West and General “Mad Dog” Mattis.
he sent me a very nice thank-you email as well. This is a good man. I hope the people of Florida are smart enough to elect him.
Me, too. He is a real class act.
In 1997, she seemed to be proud of all the students who volunteered when she was Director of the University Community Service Center at the University of Chicago.
Volunteerism thriving among students
Michelle Obama says that the state of volunteerism on campus, always a significant part of overall student activities, is more than thriving -- it is happily developing beyond expectations."It is not just that there are more volunteer organizations on campus than ever before, which in itself is a cause for celebration," said Obama, "it is also that there is a more general awareness among students about the importance of volunteering."... it is clear that more community service groups currently exist on campus than ever before."
Makes you wonder about the judgement of those journos touting her as the next Jackie Kennedy, doesn’t it? She’d be a terrible first lady. (So would Bill Clinton, to be honest.)
Yes. Elegant wrapping on a package doesn't magically turn a lousy gift into a wonderful gift.
