TVNewser has learned Laurie Dhue and Fox News Channel have parted ways. The anchor and FNC management could not agree on a new contract. A Fox News spokesperson tells TVNewser, "Unfortunately, we were unable to come to terms on a new agreement with Laurie. She has been a valued member of FOX News, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors."
Dhue has been with Fox for more than seven years, joining in September of 2000. In addition to hosting FNC programs during her tenure, Dhue was also a correspondent on the syndicated version of Geraldo at Large.
Since September she has been working as ombudswoman for The O'Reilly Factor for a segment called "The Dhue Point." In what would be her last installment Thursday night, Bill O'Reilly told Dhue, "I hope you know, this is my favorite segment of the week."
Before FNC, Dhue was an anchor at MSNBC and before that, CNN.
Exactly. On all the cable networks there seems to be an infinite supply of dumb drugstore blondes. You’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. Next!
exactly, Fox News is still #1 and I can understant her agent asking for a little raise, but you don't want to go too far. She is still a news reader and there isn't a Laurie Dhue show.
Probably wind up on msnbc.
Adieu, Dhue.
I have noticed, too, that Kelly Wright has left Fox&Friends Weekend and is back on the news beat.
[He never fit in to that weekend silliness. I hope it was his choice to leave F&FWeekend.]
Now, if they will just separate Bill Hemmer and Megan Kelly. Each, separately, is watchable. Together, they (especially Megan) are giddy and giggly. That is very unprofessional for a news program.
Enthusiatic annoying glue which nobody has been able to find a release agent for. It may be entirely possible that Geraldo isn't really working for anyone. Absent an employer, Geraldo would still be doing the same thing.
Deal, Billy. Now just tone it down a little. Listen to harp music or something.
In other news, her makeup contractor has slit his wrists.
I'm getting tired of watching CNN for election coverage but they are running circles around Fox these days and are putting up better numbers than Fox in that area.If you have HD and tolerate the bias, which by the way seems a little bit more under control these days, then CNN is the place to be on election night. Hopefully Fox will get their act together before the fall election season really gets going. It would be nice to see the Democrat Convention in HD on Fox. That would be a hoot.
I’m still on perpetual lookout for Jennifer Eccleston, the ‘shock and awe’ babe. oh man is she hot
Billy Mays lol!
Dhue is Dhone.
Dhue. Or Dhue not. There is no try.
When is my Dhue date?
Give Dhue credit where credit is Dhue.
What am I thinkin'...you guys don't care HOW she came to look like that, as long as she DOES look like that for you.
You guys are visual, and that's just the way it is.
