Michelle Obama's Refined Racism

Michelle Obama and Black Separationists at Princeton

For months during the nominating process, Michelle Obama's graduating thesis has been under lock and key at Princeton University. The university stated suspiciously that it would be available to the public after the general election. Nobody knew why until now.

Michelle Obama's Refined Racism

The sequestering of an academic thesis was unprecedented at Princeton, a liberal university that prides itself on open access to scholarly information. Despite repeated attempts by media organizations to view the document, Obama's alma mater would provide no explanation for hiding it.

The thesis written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn, is titled Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community." You can download it here.

Politico.com received a possibly redacted copy from the Obama campaign recently. The excerpts show that Obama identifies with black militancy, utterly obsessed with race in America and her own blackness. It is a fundamentally racist document, shocking when considering that this scholarship is the product of a presidential candidate's wife at a great university.

She mourns that she will face further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant."

Obama's thesis is full of paranoid claims and overtly racist feelings. She cannot accept the idea of a diverse student body working together in a melting pot. Others worry about her black militancy here.

"I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don't belong. Regardless of the circumstances under which I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second."

Not only does she see separate black and white societies in America, but she elevates black over white in her world.

There was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the black community, I was somehow obligated to this community and would utilize all of my present and future resources to benefit this community first and foremost.

What is Michelle Obama planning to do with her future resources that will elevate black over white in America?

Most alarming is her use of the terms "separationist" and "integrationist" when describing the views of black people. She clearly identifies herself with a separationist" view of race.

By actually working with the Black lower class or within their communities as a result of their ideologies, a separationist may better understand the desperation of their situation and feel more hopeless about a resolution as opposed to an integrationist who is ignorant to their plight."

Here is another typical passage that is uncomfortable for its poor writing, but nevertheless ominous in meaning:

Attending Princeton has probably forced [black alumni] to compete intellectually with Whites more than with Blacks and, thus, they have probably become more familiar with Whites intellectually, but in other activities they are likely to have gained familiarity with Whites if they did not spend time with Whites in other activities besides intellectual ones.

Is it no wonder that most black alumni ignored her racist questionnaire? Only 89 responded out of 400 who were asked for input.

The following passage appears to be a call to arms for affirmative action policies that could be the hallmark of an Obama administration.

"Predominately white universities like Princeton are socially and academically designed to cater to the needs of the white students comprising the bulk of their enrollments."

The conclusion of the thesis is alarming. Michelle Obama's poll of black alumni helps her understand that other black students at Princeton do not share her obsession with blackness. She laments that only 1/3 say they are more comfortable around black people than white people.

But rather than celebrate, she is horrified that black alumni identify with our common American culture more than they value the color of their skin.

"I hoped that these findings would help me conclude that despite the high degree of identification with whites as a result of the educational and occupational path that black Princeton alumni follow, the alumni would still maintain a certain level of identification with the black community. However, these findings do not support this possibility."

Michelle Obama does not look into a crowd and see Americans. She sees black people and white people eternally conflicted with one another.

That is a very divisive view for a potential first lady that would do untold damage to race relations in this country in a Barack Obama administration. Michelle Obama's intellectually refined racism should give all Americans pause for deep concern.

If you aren’t from the South, it is uncanny how you just defined the dilemma we’ve lived with in the South for two generations. Nothing is ever enough and no amount of inclusive behavior on our part ever makes any difference.

Bingo...100% correct...i marvel at how naive many on FR seem to be.

Wonder which came first, rejection or attitude? I suspect attitude. I also suspect identity issues and a lot of bitterness.

Oh, really? For my part I find them fascinating. It's like following a trail of breadcrumbs. In our information overloaded lives we lose sight of the last story as the next one comes out.
Bookmark these like I do and when you get a chance print out just the first page and put it in a three ring binder. After a few days the picture that grows can be quite a bit different than what you remember and the popular media promotes.
For example. Michelle, the wealthy official at a hospital making over 300K, belongs to a race hating America hating church. But did you miss the fact she got to the 300K after her husband, the US Senator, earmarked a million for the same hospital? That she almost tripled her salary? This is in a nation that so oppresses her based on her skin color they forced her to go to Princeton and marry someone from Harvard Law. Maybe if they make her US Senator husband president, it might begin to make up for all those slights she has received in her gated community. Those are the fine points that get missed.

Or, everyone is on the ‘Client 9’ tabloid story but forgets Spitzer’s plan to give illegal prostitutes drivers licenses and the fact Hillary liked the plan until she didn't like the plan. Or, how Spitzer was a superdelagate. So now is the prostitute getting his slot as a discount for the next date?

You got to keep track of these things. Already the media is changing the question of a governor spending almost a 100K on hookers and instead is switching to whether prostitution should be legal. If you don't book mark these they go down the memory hole and the next thing you find yourself doing is asking why the vast right wing conspiracy hired a woman to seduce the virtuous governor of New York.

~~~ She clearly identifies herself with a separationist” view of race. ~~~
So, why is her black separationist self married to a man who is half white? She is the mother of children who are part white.
A 300,000 dollar a year job and she's a disenfranchised black women in a white world. In the beginning she entered Princeton thinking she was all that and soon found out she was not all that, could not compete and decided to blame white America for holding her back. So now that she is making 300,00 dollars a year in a great job she's still disenfranchised because of the color of her skin. This ungrateful, nasty, woman has a severe mental disorder. This is a women who could possibly be our first lady? Here is a man who is pulling the wool over everyones eyes except the people who are not afraid to confront the messiah.
And what professor would dare flunk her for submitting such a poorly written thesis?
Sort of off topic, but not really. Michelle has admitted that she didn’t get into Princeton and Harvard based on her test scores. Not sure about Barack, but we are now about through the second generation of affirmative action college admissions, 35 or more years of it.
If the Obama children don’t qualify for prestigious universities based on grades and test scores, or the same criteria as whites and Asians, should they be admitted under affirmative action programs? Would there still be past discrimination to overcome into a third generation of affirmative action college admissions?
“And what professor would dare flunk her for submitting such a poorly written thesis?”
Ahh, grade inflation had that covered easily. It’s been going on since the Vietnam era. Not sure about Princeton, but I’ve read several times that the average grade at Harvard is now an A-.
Ivy League degrees ain’t what they used to be.
Really sad here to realize the Michelle Obama is an America-hating black racist. She seems to have had considerable privilege in education and in career opportunities. She seems articulate, intelligent, and attractive. Sad, so sad.
My thoughts, too.
Isn't this something she wrote like 25 years ago when she was 22? Something she had to knock out to graduate?
I remember my senior thesis. Actually, I only remember I had to write one. I can't remember anything else about it.
All this sturm und drang is stupid.
I would agree if Michelle Obama had demonstrated that she had seen the error of her ways at Princeton, but instead we see that the Obamas have not only made it a way of life by seeking to solve the ills of the world with American tax payer monies, ( which past US Presidents and the various United Nations programs have already proved to be a quaint and failed notion), but that Michelle and her husband embrace and worship with those who deeply believe that anything that goes wrong in their lives, is because they are black.
For example: Michelle Obama complained of being ostracized on campus; what of all the white girls who were also not included in elite socials through the many years that clothing and everything else had to be just so?
I have a girl friend who is black. She constantly complains about the service that she gets in stores. Stores in which I receive the same the unpredictable, sometimes slovenly care. We have gone over it a hundred times with each other how similarly we are treated in this connecticut suburb, yet she is unable to understand that I suffer many of the same thoughtless and shallow insults during the course of day dealing with many people who are really just ill mannered, tired, or overwhelmed with their own problems so as not to be able to treat every princess, that they encounter, as the princess believes that she must be treated.
After 8 years of Hillary and Willie, I have had enough of such people who think that the world exists solely for their comfort. Self-obsessed; their wants and needs become demands. Their vision only gets as far as their navels.
We need adults to lead this country. Adults who can think outside of the box. Not ones who have proven their worth by showing how well they can stay inside of the box.
During this next presidential term, we need an adult who can forget about his or her's self, and concentrated on preserving this nation of freedom, her liberties, her justice based on equality for all under the law, and the world in which we all live.
We can not afford an 'affirmative action' president. We can not afford 'affirmative action' at all, any where.
I believe the emotions you express here are those that will ensure a Democratic victory in November.
This is a totally losing path.
I fear things are going to become very ugly around here in the coming months.
