Rasmussen – Obama support drops
Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll ^ | Saturday, March 15, 2008 | Rasmussen Poll

Posted on 03/15/2008 11:23:34 AM PDT by GVnana

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton essentially even in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. It’s Obama 46% Clinton 45% (see recent daily results). This reflects an unusually sharp change from yesterday’s results when Obama led by eight points and reached the 50% level of support for the first time. Daily tracking results are collected via nightly telephone surveys and reported on a four-day rolling average basis. Last night’s results were very favorable for Clinton and it remains to be seen whether this marks a lasting change in the race or is merely statistical noise. Single night results are based upon very small samples and are more volatile than the overall tracking poll.

Looking to November, John McCain now holds a slight lead over both Democrats in the General Election. It’s McCain 47% Obama 42% and McCain 46% Clinton 42% (see recent daily results). It appears that Clinton’s challenges to Obama may be helping McCain at least in the short-term. McCain’s polling numbers against Obama began improving during the run-up to the hard-fought Democratic Primaries in Ohio and Texas. Obama has a three-percentage point edge over McCain among unaffiliated voters but is currently supported by just 65% of Democrats. By way of comparison, McCain earns the vote from 80% of Republicans.

Frankly, I'd like to hear him talk further about his cheif regret in Congress -- that he didn't try to kill the effort to save Terri Schiavo from being tortuously dehydrated to death.

Cynic that I am, I'm pretty inured to the thoughtless prattlings of our nation's Solon's, but that comment left even me sickened and horrified.

Then, we have Obama the Personal Protector of Infanticide -- here again, through neglecting-to-death.

These polls are meaningless snapshots.

His support among Democrats has barely been touched.

The MSM wants to believe that it can affect elections.

I think Rev Jeremiah Wright is a CON man....he’s barely black himself!

I've seen that before, though... that the lightest skinned black man in the room is the one yelling the loudest. I think it's to avoid having other blacks turn on them. I knew a fellow just like this guy at the Illinois university where I got my M.A., very light, quite effeminate... he claimed that the cops followed him when he was driving at night. I used to joke that they were following him because they couldn't remember where the Barnes & Noble was.

Well, old Rushbo had better have a back up plan just in case his chaos disturber role in this campaign backfires and we end up with a third term of the swindling corrupt Clintons.

What do you think will be his excuse for getting these two reprobates elected?

I don't listen to Limbaugh regularly enough to know. But I also don't think the "two reprobates" as you call them, will be elected. It's going to be a tough race. I think this incident with Obama will be glossed-over. I think the Clintons will be driving hard all the way through November.

It's said that the Republicans can't win because they are just voting against Democrats. Well, what do you think the Democrats will be doing?

Obama pretty much has already effectively short circuited any amount of traction this potentially had, by removing Wright from his campaign staff also, this morning.

I think you are probably wrong. Obama and Wright were too close, for too long. Obama can't just pretend it never happened, there is too much evidence.
