And, the American farmer hasn’t really be unleashed yet. Crop sizes will double in the next 20 years, maybe even in the next 10 or 15. Surpluses will continue to be the farmers nemesis. Sounds like it's long past time to end the subsidies, then.

The subsidies have been part of a Cheap Food for Consumers Program.
The program is beginning to fall apart because the government doesn’t have enough money to buy the farmers cooperation anymore.
