That’s the way Ashley Alexandra “Kristen” Dupré will be remembered. Not as a young woman with potential, as are all of our young women. No, she’s now known as the $4,300-an-hour ho who brought down the Governor of New York.
Many in our entertainment intelligentsia consider prostitution a victimless crime, thus Ashley Alexandra “Kristen” Dupré’s activities are going to be her ticket to fame and fortune. She’s probably already received many offers from agents who know they can sell her name, face, “voice” and body. They know there will be interested parties waiting to exploit her newfound fame, or infamy depending how you look at it.
As usual with this generation, it’s all about her. On her MySpace page she wrote,
I am all about my music, and my music is all about me…. It flows from what I’ve been through, what I’ve seen and how I feel. I live in New York and am on top of the world.
Well, if she could make it there, she can make it anywhere.
Ashley Alexandra “Kristen” Dupré alludes to a broken home and abuse. If true, that is tragic. However, there are many other people who have survived broken homes and not turned to breaking the law. Prostitution IS against the law.
Granted, unlike Eliot Spitzer who gleefully put people in jail as New York’s attorney general and has no sympathy coming his way from the public, Ashley Alexandra “Kristen” Dupré may give community service a new name and will come out of this a rich woman. She may get a book deal, recording contract, or a modeling gig. She probably won’t be earning $4,300-an-hour, but she will be able to work, for the most part, standing up.
Personally, I’m hoping her name becomes a noun.

I agree, this young woman made a bad “career” choice, but I doubt that she is evil.
Eliot Spitzer, on the other hand, is an evil man, he abused his powers as an AG, and as a Governor. He did so, to cause gratuitous harm to large numbers of people. That’s why he couldn’t even count on support from Democrats, when they saw a chance to take him down.
You can be sure that it was entirely for his own pleasure, that's the way prostitution works.

Perhaps you are even envious of what money she could make? You don’t understand that money isn’t everything. She has no dignity or self respect - money can’t buy that.

As far as I can tell she seems successful and about as happy as an entertainer can be.
His own party abandoned him - he's an obnoxious, spoiled little rich boy that likes to bully others around. DO you really believe he's this kind, sensitive husband? Do you really? His wife? Could it be that the money keeps her in the marriage? Her father in law is worth a bundle. She likes her lifestyle. She doesn't have to work. I know nothing about his daughters. Nothing that they are following in same footsteps as dad - the best schools, the best of everything with an obnoxious hypocritical father? Are they different than him? I don't know.
I know more about this screwed up high priced hooker. Her broken home and running off ... needing money is so typical of those that take self destructive paths. I do feel sorry for her. She's a throw away kid. Hopefully someone will step in and stop her from total self destruction.

If she cooperates with the prosecutors, they will probably put in a good word with the IRS. The IRS will want all the money she owes, of course, but they probably won't try to throw her in jail, as long as they stand to get any back taxes in a reasonable amount of time.

I’m certain that Ashley is now crying her heart out at the harsh judgments of her by the saintly Free Republic members, as she busily answers telephone calls from agents, magazine editors, and other money bags, while her not so unfortunate former co-workers are purple with envy desperately searching for new pimps now that the Emperor’s Club ist kaputt.

Pretty depressing on so many levels.
Definitely prettier, in my opinion. I think those who are stuned by the charms of Ms. Ashley (pretty face, yeah, and great big implants) are just seeing the dollar signs. The price creates the perceived value of her "services," which are, after all, available for free from plenty of girls with pretty faces and big implants.
However, it's an interesting point about the two college students: they both attended state universities where the administration promotes and celebrates promiscuity, sexual perversion, and the removal of any truly human component from sexual relationships. The UNC system even had the "Sex Workers Art Show," displaying products and performances (mostly pornographic) by strippers and prostitutes. (My tax dollars at work ...)
You might say that Ashley's life is what UNC wanted Eve Carson to aspire to!
Couldn't it also be a verb, such as "I got Dupre'd last night....."?
Or as a noun as suggested: How much for a Dupre-job?
