“He makes Bill Clinton look like an amateur.”

Yeh, and Bill gets it for free. I think he actually liked Monica and related to her. A big difference from buying, using, and discarding. Nevertheless, from a Libertarian perspective, I think prostitution laws against consensual acts between consenting adults are stupid. Have the women pay taxes, get regular medical checkups and education, get rid of the pimps, and put the police to work on crimes with actual victims. Save a lot of tax money in the long run.

Also, when is some wife going to get up and say: “You know, I am just not as interested in the physical side of my marriage as I was 20 years ago. So long as he brings home a paycheck, gives the kids and me quality time, and remembers my birthday and Valentines Day, I don’t mind if a gets a little happiness that means a lot more to him than it does to me. Moreover, why is it any of your business?”?

LOL
Still wonder if a deal was cut with the feds. Deals are cut all the time so I would not be surprised ...but I would love ALL the sleaze and history to be revealed. He loved to threaten and steamroll others..bout time he got steamrolled.

This man needs a lot of treatment for his arrogance and hypocrisy..

There was a report issued 45 minutes after he resigned that said “No deal was made with the Feds”... I am counting the hours till the list of charges gets revealed.

I guess he finally saw that impeachment was next..and I saw no pundit or politico suggesting he should not resign.

This was not just about sex. I think they rarely prosecute a john so the fed money wrongdoing will be what he is facing. I have little doubt he will get a deal..but it might be hitched to his giving evidence against the Prostitution ring. He may be too arrogant to make a good deal for himself..asking for too much.
He has some heavy hitter lawyers...and plenty of money to pay them.

Perhaps the timing of going public is suspicious. But, Spitzer was one of her committed super-delegates, who reportedly won't be replaced.

Stolen FBI File #712. Payback for the illegal/driver lisence fiasco that cost She Who Must Not Be Named some street cred.

I guess the votes were there to impeach too.
I didn’t know that he had checked with the assembly and impeachment was imminent if he didn’t resign.

This is what happens when you step on everyone in your way. They will eventually have their way with you. Good riddance.

RUSH: One more thing about Eliot Spitzer you have to understand. A lot of people ask, "Why did the media love Spitzer?" Well, here was the official Drive-By prosecutor is the way to look at this. I mean, he was going after targets that the left despises institutionally, not so much personally. Here's how Spitzer operated, folks. He would threaten to ruin people. He would file an action. He'd call a big press conference accusing these people, besmirching these people, and then squeeze them into settling to some consent decree to avoid the full force and power of his office. But few of his targets were actually found to have done anything wrong. This is what he did. Eliot Spitzer is what Mike Nifong wanted to be. If you really haven't followed Spitzer's career and you don't know much about him, Spitzer had to be Nifong's role model. I mean, this kind of excess -- no control, no discipline, pure exercise of political power to destroy people -- is exactly what Spitzer was engaged in. It was great press based on no substance, and the moral of it all is that he had no more business being a prosecutor than the Drive-Bys have a claim on being objective -- and this piece in the Wall Street Journal today by Kimberley Strassel just nails the Drive-By Media and their enabling behavior of Eliot Spitzer. Simply put, capitalism was his target, and he went after it with a vengeance. (cont.)
