Ah...so now it’s official and the blind guy can lead the stupid. Hoping he didn’t cut a deal with the FBI or IRS for this...

The world breaks everyone, and afterward, some are strong at the broken places.”

typical lib reaction - something/someone else's fault. It's his lust/his money/his no regard for his family/his arrogance/his above the law mindset - it's all about him and 'because he can'.

Any chance of that? More than Nifong going to jail?

Yeah, that 1 day in jail for Nifong really taught him a lesson.

You can get that much hard time for being caught without your drivers license and not having enough money for bond.

From Don Surber DailyMail.com:

Spitzer parody

Paging the Clovers, the Searchers …

… Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass, The Ventures, The Coasters, Neil Diamond … dang, a lot of people recorded “Love Potion No. 9.”

Inspired by Lucianne, I offer my version:

I took the trouble for a rendezvous,
A place on Connecticut Avenue.
I got a hooker who was really fine.
I booked a room and became: Love Client Number Nine.

I told her that I was a flop with chicks.
She yawned and said she does no fancy tricks.
She held out her palm and made a li’l sign.
She said, “Better pay up, Love Client Number Nine”

She bent down and turned around and gave me a wink.
She said, “You just paid for four hours, I think.”
She opened up some wine that looked like Indian ink.
I held my nose, I closed my eyes, I took a drink.

I didn’t know the place was wired by cops.
If I had known I would have hollered, “Stop!”
But when they called my lawyer I knew it was time
To tell the press that I am: Love Client Number Nine.

[Guitar solo]

I posed my wife, I didn’t lie much, I took a hit.
I didn’t know of an affidavit.
Now Albany’s saying that it is impeachment time
For my little turn as Love Client Number Nine.

Love Client Number Nine
Love Client Number Nine
Love Client Number Nine

The Searchers sing it.

Geeez, I have CNN Headline News on right now and they’re making a point of reading emails about the whole sordid Spitzer scandal and they’re saying it’s a witch hunt by the Bush administration. IMO, Spitzer’s failings have NEVER been private. He got in fromt of mikes in public and accused various Wall Street CEOs of charges that were never proven with the willing complicity of the media. HARDLY private.

Here’s my prognostication: Hillary will resign as Senator, Paterson will appoint himself to fill her spot, then she runs as governor, which she would win in a landslide.

If you honestly believe that hillary will ever resign that seat, you need to stop drinking...

"Makes me think about who leaked what, and to who. And when."

Um...Spitzer was using multiple bank accounts with two different dunny corporations as far as I can tell...there may have been more. The BANKS turned his suspicious transactions in to the IRS, which began investigating last October. What the IRS thought they had was campaign finance irregularities, bribery, or money laundering, that sort of thing. The IRS notified the FBI, which got the necessary warrants to tap the phones.

NEITHER department dreamed what they'd be busting would turn out to be a really high end, international prostitution ring with sophisticated money laundering techniques and probable mob connections.

Really, it was a good piece of police work, which will now get lost in the fog of tinfoil hat conspiracy theories. Kudos to all of those involved. I applaud you all. SOMEBODY should.

CNBC is saying that Spitz did not cut a deal with the DA. Now who here believes that? MY guess is that is exactly what the DA wants us all to think. They don’t want us to think that they cut a deal with him based on if he resigned as governor because that would be so wrong. And it is public knowledge that is what Spitz wanted to do. But I think there is a deal, and this guy will get off with a slap on the wrist.

I was thinking that if Hillary won the presidency, she would immediately change the law to allow her to also stay a Senator of New York.

Two for one. Isn’t that what she keeps saying?

The only thing wrong with your theory is that if all goes down and Patterson becomes Gov, that makes Senate Majority leader Bruno the next in line to take over as Gov. So it Hildebeast gives up her senate seat and Patterson appoints himself as the new Senator, Bruno, a Republican takes the Gov seat and is in place for the next three years until the general election in 2010. Hildebeast then must run against an incumbent Republican.

I’m sure atonement will be demanded for his public failings as well:
Ken Langone and Dick Grasso will be right there asking politely for his head...

How long will it take for the dems to re-group and blame all this on a right-wing pogrom?
