He should know about pulling out.
To: cweese
he would like Sptizer to hold off his resignation until Monday to give him enough time to prepare for a transition.
At this moment the Spitzler is not being an effective governor. Patterson should step up and take the helm using the current governor's staff to help him with the "transition."
What would Patterson due if Spitz had died? Time to man up dude.

Will he also resign as a Super-Delegate?He won't have to. He loses that status automatically once he's quit the Governorship.

Personally, I would like to see Spitzer have a press conference where he is willing to take all questions. Legally, he could not afford to do that, anymore than William Jefferson Clinton has ever gone on the record and said “I did not rape that woman, Juanitta Broaderrick”. Clinton has never denied raping Broaderrick because it could possibly give Broaderrick, a day in court to tell her story, albeit a civil court.

I almost think we’d be better off if he stayed. Make him an example. Keep him in the public eye. He would be damaged for the rest of his term. Now he will probably go the way of McGreevey and write a book, go on Oprah, and sound like the victim.

Perhaps Patterson becomes the super-delegate as governor? He already is one. The net effect is that Hillary loses one super-delegate.

You cank take it to the bank that he’ll be on Oprah. My money is on the the excuse that he’s a sex addict. They’ll roll out a host of experts to explain his behavior and wifey will sit there and support her man.

Spitzer nailed by Dicker.
Hypocrite extrodinaire: When Spitzer busted a travel agency that was involved in illegal prostitution, he called it “egregious conduct” and “abuse of young women.” He said the perps’ action led to the “systematic exploitation and suppression of young women, and that is simply unacceptable.”
