Good point. Another fact not spoken about is the fact that our emergency reserves are at the highest amount ever in our history.

The aggregate availability of oil affects its price. If you suddenly find 50% of previously available oil off the market, the price will change.

Thank you for the ping.

I would like to see a situation where the Iranian people organise and take the initiative and we provide the support. Barring that, it would be good to see the the US and Europe work together to address a problem that threatens both of us (i.e. conduct a joint military operation).

Yeah I knew about China drilling off the coast of Floriduh.
Makes no sense to let the foreigners, who have total disregard to safe drilling, get this close to tapping our resources.

But the jet set in hollywierd and DC see commie china as deserving I guess.

Good. All the kidding aside, the French armed forces are quite capable. The German armed forces would be a good addition to any action in the area.

That won’t be a bad position for us to be in, on Russia’s border. We might as realize that sooner or later we are going to be at war with Russia.

First Iran and Syria, then Russia, and finally China. I think Cuba, with Castro’s retirement, will become more capitalist and pro-American. Once these problems are taken care of, we will have eliminated most of the threats to America, for now.

Horsefeathers. The marginal cost of production of oil today is under $10, the price is 11 times that because 90% of it is controlled by state enterprises that deliberately collude to fix prices for strategic as well as economic ends.
